Oh, Snap - Slimline Card

Hi, everyone!  Here's another holiday card!  This one features gingerbread cookies again!  They are just so cute; I can't help myself!  For this card, I have used stamps from Newton's Nook Designs.  The slimline die is Catherine Pooler Slimline Essentials, which I used on dark kraft cardstock.

I stamped Newton's Nook Ginger Snap (sorry I think this stamp is retired; sad face) three times and coloured them all with markers, each one a bit different. I fussy-cut and added some dots with a white paint pen.  Did you notice I "snapped off" one of the gingers' legs?  I adhered foam tape to the gingers and adhered them onto mini cupcake liners that I found at Dollarama this week.  I flattened out the cupcake liners by running them through my Cuttlebug.  They are still a bit wrinkly but I think that adds to the charm!

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on green cardstock and used a Lawn Fawn speech bubble stamp and die.  I wanted to add some coffee because gingerbread and coffee go perfectly together!  Yum!  I made the cup tiny as if the gingers would be drinking it haha.  I used the tiny coffee cup stamp from Newton's Nook Sending Hugs, which I coloured and fussy-cut.  I also added a leftover heart from another Newton's Nook stamp (Smitten Kittens).  I finished the card with three punched snowflakes in green (Recollections punch).

My colour combo was inspired by Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge 161, which is a colour challenge (red, dark green, light green, and brown).

I'm also happy to be joining the Fall/Winter 2021 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, along with the following  challenges:

What an awesome card you've created Kitty, well done! I love the colours, the background even looks like a great big cookie. Fabulous idea to use the cupcake liners to mat the images, and I agree about the folds, it adds great texture. Love the sentiment too!
Cheers,
Beccy

I missed these two in the line up. I love the idea of the cupcake liners. They are too cute not to use. It was great fun to see you line up of Gingerbread during the Coffee Hop and Beccy's Place. I can't wait to see what you create next!
