Gingerbread Mitten

Hi, everybody!  Today I'm sharing another card for the holidays!  There's a lot of fun going on over at Beccy's Place!  It's her 9th Annual Month of Holiday Cards!  All month long, there are daily inspiration cards, alphabet prompts, races, and prizes to be won!  Thank you, Beccy!   This is an event I look forward to every year!

For the alphabet letter, I'm jumping ahead to M for Mitten.  My card features one of Beccy's digis called Home for the Holidays.  I used the Gingerbread Mitten, coloured it with markers, and fussy-cut.  I adore these gingerbread cuties!  

I was aiming for the look of a mantel with the mitten hanging like a stocking.  I used a brick embossing folder to simulate a fireplace, and Gina Marie Pine Needles die for greenery behind the mitten.  The sentiment is a clear stamp from Your Next Stamp.  I added three sets of pink berries (from Impression Obsession Holly Leaf Cluster die) but later had second thoughts; too late now as they are adhered with glue!

My card design was inspired by Sketch Saturday Week 684, which is "Pick from the Archive."  I chose Sketch 452:
