Holiday Card 37 - Hot Cocoa Happiness

Hello, everyone! Today is the start of the 2018 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop! The theme is Fall or Winter - plus Coffee, Tea or Cocoa, of course!  I'm also finishing off Beccy's Place and her Month of Holiday Cards Challenge! Today is the final day and the theme is Do What You Love! I love snowmen, hot cocoa, and making cards, so that's what I'm sharing!  Thank you to Beccy for the wonderful month of inspiration!

I used my Cottage Cutz Teapot Snowman for the first time, and he's so cute! The patterned paper is MME Winter Wonderland, and the sparkly red strip is a scrap from yesterday's card. I added a sentiment from AC Digitals - Crate Paper Snow and Cocoa and a little cocoa cup puffy sticker from my Dollarama stash.  I finished off the card with a few snowflake sequins.

Holiday Card 36 - Hello Snow

Hi, everyone! You guessed it - I have another holiday card to share! It was tough to photograph with all the glitter, but hopefully you can see how sparkly it is! All month I've been inspired by the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place and her Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. November is almost over, and so is the alphabet, so I'm revisiting the letter "S" for Snow and Sparkle.

This adorable candy cane kitty image is from Gecko Galz Candy Cane Lane; it was part of a blog hop freebie a couple years ago.  I love mixing vintage images with modern elements!  I fussy-cut the image and popped it up on foam tape.  The "brrrr" background paper and cute sentiment are from AC Digitals - Crate Paper Snow and Cocoa.  The die-cut snowy hillside is from Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders, and the sparkly red paper is from Heidi Swapp.  The holographic leaf trim is from my Dollarama stash, and I stapled it on each end as per the sketch below.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card:  Tuesday Morning Sketches 481.

Holiday Card 35 - Winter Wishes

Hi, everybody!  My holiday cards continue!  All month I've been inspired by the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place and her Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.  November is nearly over and Beccy is at the end of the alphabet. I've already shared my "Z" card so I'm revisiting "W" for Winter Wishes.

Here I've used another alcohol ink background that I made some time ago. I don't recall the specific colours used, but it was a mixture of several shades of blue.  I added some snowfall with a white paint marker, but I wish I had not as I liked it better without.  As for the beautiful die, I do not know the name as I received it in some friend mail.  The embossing folder is Taylored Expressions Winter Flurry, and I stamped a sentiment from Your Next Stamp.

I would also like to support the following challenges: ABC Christmas W for Wishes UE; Cardz 4 Guys Christmas Critters 3/3; Crafting by Designs Get Ready for Christmas 1/3; Crafty Creations AG 1/2; Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional Make Your Own Background UE; Creatalicious AG Optional Layer it Up UE; DL.ART November Linky AG UE 1/d; Happy Little Stampers AG w Dies UE; Happy Little Stampers Christmas Clean and Simple UE; Just Keep on Creating November AG UE; Mod Squad Happy H-Owlidays Use a Critter(s) on Holiday Card 1/3; Pammie's Inky Pinkies AG 3/3; PINspirational Inspiration Photo (I was inspired by the deer) 4/5; Scribbles Designs Reindeer Games 3/3; Simon Says Stamp Wednesday AG 1/5; Simon Says Stamp Work-It Wednesday Ho-Ho Holidays 1/3; The House That Stamps Built Repeat Impressions Anything Goes Challenge ~ N2818 1/3; Word Art Wednesday AG w Uplifting Sentiment 1/5 Wk 2

Holiday Card 34 - Gingerbread House

Hello, everybody! I'm back again today with another holiday card! I've been hooked on all things gingerbread this year, and this time I've made a gingerbread house card!  I continue to be inspired by the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place and her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. I've already finished the alphabet so I'm revisiting the letter "G" for Gingerbread.

This is the first time I've used my Spellbinders Gingerbread House Die and I was so excited to see how it looked!  I cut the back portion in gold glitter cardstock (Simon Says Stamp), and the front portion in white.  I decorated the house with some sparkly enamel dots in festive colours and a red bow (Your Next Stamp).  The gingerbread couple are puffy stickers from my Dollarama stash, and I added a cute lollipop from Beccy's Place Christmas Candy set.  I used Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes to make a snowy landscape and a double-stitched rectangle to die-cut the panel. Lastly I stamped a sentiment and added a few snowflake sequins.

I would also like to support the following challenges:  A Gem of a Challenge AG 1/3; ABC Christmas W for Wishes UE; Beccy's Place Sixth Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge G for Gingerbread House UE; Christmas Cards All Year 'Round Gingerbread 5/5; Crafting by Designs Something Sweet 1/3; Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional Make Your Own Background UE; Creatalicious AG Optional Layer it Up UE; Cute Card Thursday Festive Colours UE; Cupcake Inspirations The Holidays 2/3; DL.ART November Linky AG UE 1/d; Double Trouble Thing 1 Sweet Treats for the Holidays, Thing 2 Use Your Stuff Mood Board, 3 Sprinkles on Top (sparkly enamel dots) 3/4; Jingle Belles Bring Us Some Figgy Pudding (festive food or drink); Happy Little Stampers AG w Dies UE; Joy Clair Inspiration Graphic (see below - I was inspired by the food theme) UE; Just Keep on Creating November AG UE; Pammie's Inky Pinkies AG 2/3; The Outlawz Monday Greetings GCC112618 Add Some Red 1E; Use Your Stuff 338 Mood Board (see below - I was inspired by the food theme) UE

Holiday Card 33 - Rudolph Day

Hi, everybody!  Today I'm sharing a holiday card!  It's time for Rudolph Days again, hosted every month by the lovely Scrappymo!  This is her last link-up for the year!  I'm also still playing with the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place and her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. I've already finished the alphabet so I'm revisiting the letter "S" for Snow Globe.

The snow globe and layering papers are all from an old Recollections card kit. I've been finding some cool items in my old stash lately! I  added some ribbon from the same kit and stamped a sentiment (A Creative Journey with Melissa).

Holiday Card 32 - Z for Z-fold

Hello, it's me again!  I'm back with another holiday card!  I've been inspired this month by the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place and her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. Beccy is on the letter "T" but I'm jumping ahead to finish the alphabet - Woohoo!  For "Z" I made my first Z-fold card!

To make this card, I followed a Double Z-fold card tutorial at Beccy's Place.  The adorable image is Chimney Reindeer Peeker from Bugaboo Digistamps, and I went with the precoloured version and fussy-cut.  I hand-cut a white strip to simulate a snowy rooftop.  I stamped a sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh, added a die-cut snowflake corner (Wild Rose Studio), and finished off the card with a candy cane charm and several red and brown snowflake sequins.  The patterned paper is from ReFined Winter Story 6x6" paper pack.

I was inspired by the Bingo board at Catch the Bug, and I chose the top row: Sentiment, Bugaboo image, and charm (see candy cane charm near sentiment).

I would also like to support the following challenges: Alphabet Challenge R for Reindeer 1/3; Cardz 4 Guys Christmas Critters 2/3; Cardz TV 75 AG 3/3; Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional Beginning with "H" UE; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper November UE; Creatalicious AG Optional Layer it Up UE; Cute Card Thursday Festive Colours UE; Happy Little Stampers AG w Dies UE; Jo's Scrap Shack AG 3/3; Joy Clair Inspiration Graphic (see below - I was inspired by the candy canes) UE; Just Keep on Creating November AG UE; PINspirational Inspiration Photo (I was inspired by the deer) 3/5; Scribbles Designs Reindeer Games 2/3; Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Baby It's Cold Outside 5/5

Holiday Card 31 - Y for Yule and Yellow

Hello, everyone!  I'm back again today with another holiday card! I'm getting a lot of them made this month with inspiration from Beccy's Place and her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. Beccy has been inspiring us with alphabet prompts - she's on the letter "T" but I'm jumping ahead to "Y" for Yule and Yellow.

The snowman and layering papers are all from an old Recollections card kit. I've been finding some nifty goodies in my old stash lately! I created a fun sentiment with my Dymo label maker and then finished off the card by adding three green snowflake sequins.

I would also like to support the following challenges: Cardz TV 75 AG 2/3; Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional Beginning with "H" (hat) UE; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper November UE; Creatalicious AG Optional Layer it Up UE; Cute Card Thursday Festive Colours UE; Jo's Scrap Shack AG 2/3; Just Keep on Creating November AG UE

Holiday Card 30 - X for XO

Hello, everyone! Today I'm sharing another holiday card!  I'm getting a lot of them made this month with inspiration from Beccy's Place and her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. Beccy has been inspiring us with alphabet prompts all month - she's on the letter "T" but I've been jumping ahead and I'm already on "X" so I went with xo.

My card was inspired by a tag I saw on YouTube here.  I die-cut some houses in white cardstock and gold-foil posterboard to make a little scene.  I gathered some white crepe paper and added a red sequin bow and trim.  The patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn, and I added some puffy stickers (snowman, holly, stars) from my Dollarama stash, along with a green snowflake sequin, to embellish the scene.  You can bearly see the stamped sentiment in the lower right corner, but it says "xoxo" (Clearly Besotted).

I would also like to support the following challenges:  Cardz TV 75 AG 1/3; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper November UE; Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional Beginning with "H" (houses, hat, holly) UE; Creatalicious AG Optional Layer it Up UE; Cute Card Thursday Festive Colours UE; DL.ART November Linky AG UE 1/d; Happy Little Stampers AG w Dies UE; Jo's Scrap Shack AG 1/3; Just Keep on Creating November AG UE

Holiday Card 29 - CASE

Hi, everybody, I'm back again!  My holiday cards continue!  Inspiration has come from the prompts over at Beccy's Place and her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. For Day 22, Beccy asked us to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of our own cards.

The card I chose to CASE is my Holiday Card 1 shown below:

Again I went with an alcohol ink background that I made some time ago, a deer die cut, the same embossing folder, and a similar sentiment. The die is Memory Box Graceful Stag Collage; the embossing folder is Darice Snowflake Background; and I stamped a sentiment from Winnie and Walter - Winter Wishes.  Lastly I finished off the card with some clear snowflake sequins.

Holiday Card 28 - W for Wonder and Winter

It's me again!  I have another holiday card to share!  I've been inspired by the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place - she is having her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.  I've been jumping ahead, and I'm already on the letter "W" for Wonder and Winter.

Over the summer I won this precious image called Polkadoodles Snowdrift Steps - Colour - Winnie White Christmas.  I die-cut the image with My Creative Time pinpoint circle and layered onto a die-cut stitched scalloped circle, which I popped up on craft foam. I added Stardust Stickles to Winnie's hat, wand, and the center of the die-cut poinsettia.  The embossing folder is Darice Snowflake Background, and I cut it into three strips as per the sketch below. I finished off the card with a stamped sentiment.

Hi, everybody!  Today I'm sharing another holiday card! I'm getting a lot of them made this month with inspiration from the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place - she is having her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.  Beccy is on the letter "S" but I've already shared my "S," "T," and "U" cards, so I'm skipping ahead to "V" for Vintage.

I enjoy layering vintage elements together and seeing them all come together on a card - it's a lot of fun!  I used a number of images from Gecko Galz: snow couple from Gecko Galz Christmas Whimsies Collage Sheet; postage stamp from Gecko Galz Altered Christmas; and 4 calling birds ephemera from Gecko Galz 12 Days of Christmas. I used patterned paper, die-cut doily, snowflake sequins, and other vintage ephemera from my stash.

Holiday Card 26 - U for Under the Mistletoe

Hello, everyone!  It's me again!  I'm back with another holiday card!  I've been having fun this month with the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place - she is having her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.  I'm jumping ahead to the letter "U" for Under the Mistletoe!

The adorable image is Imagine That Digistamp - Mistletoe Kitty.  I used the precoloured version, fussy-cut, popped up on foam tape, and adhered to a leaf doily die-cut, which I embellished with a red sequined bow.  I added Stardust Stickles to kitty's hat and Platinum Stickles to kitty's bell.  I stamped a sentiment from Momenta which says "Meet me Under the Mistletoe," but it's hard to see in the photo.  The foiled paper is hard to photograph!  I've included another picture below - it's still hard to read although it's fine in real life.  The patterned paper is from DCWV Foil/White Cardstock Premium Stack.

The adorable gingerbread man is from Beccy's Place Gingerbread set, and I used the pre-coloured version and fussy-cut so I could pop him up on foam tape. I added White Enamel Accents on his icing and Xmas Red Stickles on his buttons for some added sparkle. For my layering papers, I dug into my stash and found these pieces in an old Recollections card kit. Holiday Card 24 - S for Snowman, Snowflakes, Striped Scarf

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing another holiday card!  I've been inspired by the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place - she is having her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.  Day 21 is "S" and I went with snowman, snowflakes, and striped scarf.

This sweet image is Beccy's Place Snowman Jim, and he's a freebie!  Beccy has lots of freebies on her blog here - there's something for everyone!  In this case, I went with the precoloured version and fussy-cut so I could pop him up on foam tape.  I used Darice Snowflake Trim embossing folder on Three Birds white-core cardstock and sanded it with my Tim Holtz sanding grip.  The snowdrift is from Poppystamps Stitched Landscape dies, and I stamped a sentiment from Your Next Stamp Hello Winter.  Lastly I embellished with three green snowflake sequins.

Hi, everybody!  Today I have another holiday card to share! I've been having fun this month being inspired by the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place - she is having her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards ChallengeDay 20 is "R" and I went with Red and Recycle!

The precious kitten image is actually a recycled tag that we received on a gift bag two years ago (the handwritten to, from, and date are on the reverse side).  You can see the little hole above the kitten's hat, where the ribbon was tied, but I adhered a tiny white scrap behind the hole so it's hardly noticeable.  I mounted the tag on some leftover scraps, stamped a cute sentiment, and adhered to the embossed background (Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow).

Hi, everybody!  I have another holiday card to share! I'm having fun this month with the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place - she is having her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.  Day 19 is "Q" so I went with Quilt.

For this card I CASEd my quilt card from last year (see photo below).  This year I used a new stitched die that cut out all of the little squares; last year I used a punch.  I won the die in July in an awesome blog candy from my friend Christi at Art-Without-Anxiety (thank you!).  Just like last year, I used more of my puffy stickers from Dollarama, Uni Posca white paint pen to add white stitching, and Paper Smooches Christmas Words die for the sentiment.

Hi, everyone!  Before I share my card, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Michele Masarech - thank you for joining me!  If you would like to leave a link to your blog in the comments, I will hop over and follow you too!

Today I'm sharing another holiday card!  I've been having fun this month being inspired by the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place - she is having her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. Thank you, Beccy, for the daily inspiration!  I'm revisiting Day 3 which was "C", and I went with Candy Cane again.

I recently won this adorable Candy Cane Teddy image from Imagine That Digistamp (thank you, Kris!). I used the pre-coloured version and fussy-cut so I could pop him up on foam tape.  I used lots of my patterned paper scraps/snippets on this card - there are four different patterns!  I tore the edges on three of the strips to add some interest.  I remember doing this technique when I first started making cards, and I think it's making a comeback.  The sentiment is from one of the paper pads, and I finished off the card with three green snowflake sequins from my stash.

Holiday Card 18 - G for Gingerbread (again)

Hello, everybody!   Today we had our first snowstorm of the season.  We had about 4-5 inches of snow and it looked very pretty.  However, it turned into rain later in the afternoon, and now nearly all of the snow is gone.  We had very high winds, but we only lost our electricity for a few moments.

Here's my latest holiday card!  Inspiration has come from the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place - she is having her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. Thank you, Beccy, for the daily inspiration!  I'm revisiting Day 8, which was "G", and I went with Gingerbread again.

The adorable gingerbread man is from Beccy's Place Gingerbread set, and I used the pre-coloured version and fussy-cut so I could pop him up on foam tape.  I added White Enamel Accents on his icing and Nuvo Jewel Drops Rosewater on his eyes and buttons.  The Stitched Diamond Die is from Gina Marie Designs.

I stamped a tiny gingerbread man (SugarPea Designs Sweet Treats Christmas) in Memento Peanut Brittle all over the patterned paper (WandM) to make it more festive. The tiny "Sweet Wishes" sentiment is from the same stamp set, and I stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa.  I finished off the card with a few brown snowflake sequins from my stash.

I was inspired by Sketch 479 at Tuesday Morning Sketches and the colour challenge at Cupcake Inspirations CIC458, which is shades of brown:

Holiday Card 17 - O for Owl

Hi there!  It's me again!  Here's my third card as promised!  We've received a winter storm alert for tomorrow, with snow and ice pellets, so I'm sharing my cards now in case we lose our power.

Today I'm sharing another holiday card!  Inspiration has come from the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place - she is having her sixth annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge. Thank you, Beccy, for the daily inspiration!  I'm jumping ahead to Day 17, which should be "O", and I went with Owl.

The cute owl image came from a holiday matching card game (Dollarama).  The patterned paper is from Basic Grey Aspen Frost 6x6 paper pad.  I used a sentiment stamp, doily die, and red snowflake sequins from my stash.

I was inspired by Sketch 539 at Sketch Saturday:
