Hi, everybody!  Before I get started I would like to welcome my newest follower - Zowie Dixon - thank you for joining me!

Today I'm sharing a "sending sunshine" card to let someone know I'm thinking of them.  It features the Imagine That Digistamp - Digi of the Month for October - Lizzy's Umbrella.   I received this adorable image for free since I joined last month's challenge.  

Here's a link to Lizzy's Umbrella. This month I went with the precoloured image and fussy-cut so I could pop it up on foam tape.  The clouds are also part of the set, which I fussy-cut and adhered.  The notebook-style, weather-themed journal card is from Digital Scrapbooking, and the cute sunshine is from Miss Kate Cuttables, which  was a freebie at one point.  The sentiment is from Scribbles Designs.

Another Kitty Card for the Holidays

Hello, everyone!  I'm still feeling inspired by all of the amazing kitty cards I saw at the Cat Lovers Hop all week, so today I'm sharing a card that uses the off-cut from this card.  

You may remember that I created the ombre background for this card to die-cut the STAMPlorations Holiday Words Plate. I ink-blended Distress Oxides (Candied Apple, Festive Berries, Spun Sugar) and spritzed with water.  That left the remaining ink-blended background, and I did not want to waste it.  I die-cut the STAMPlorations Holiday Words Plate again in white and also in craft foam.  I adhered the white die-cut on the craft foam and then paper-pieced the die-cut and all of the little ink-blended pieces - yes, it took me a while - back into the leftover ink-blended background.  It was like putting together a little puzzle.

The kitty on this card is from STAMPlorations Purrfectly Pawsome, which I stamped, coloured with markers, and fussy-cut.  The dymo-like sentiment is also STAMPlorations, from their Big Holiday Hexagons set.  I stamped the two words in black and then fussy-cut, filling in the space between the two words with a black marker.  I like how this card turned out!

Cat Lovers Hop 2021 - Day 5 (Merry and Bright)

Hi, everyone!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Angela Fretwell - thank you for joining me!

Today is Day 5 of the 7th Annual Cat Lovers Hop, and I am sharing my fifth and final card. So sad to see the hop coming to an end!  It's been a fun five days for us cat lovers!  The hop link-up is open until tomorrow and there are extra days for visiting and commenting, thankfully, because I need them!  Thank you, Janis, for the awesome hop!

My card features a cute kitty from Gerda Steiner Designs.  He is one of three kitties in a digi called #362 Christmas Carol Cats.  I believe this image is retired as I cannot find it in Gerda's shop.  I coloured the kitty with markers, fussy-cut, and applied Star Dust Stickles to his hat.  He is popped up on foam tape.

I created the background with Distress Oxides (Mowed Lawn, Lucky Clover, Tumbled Glass) using the watercolour ink-smooshing technique on textured watercolour paper.  I added a sparkly white snowbank (left over from last year's holiday cardmaking) and a die-cut scene in white, to which I applied Star Dust Stickles in various areas to simulate snow.  I stamped a sentiment from Uniko Simply Said Blocks Christmas, fussy cut, and adhered with foam tape. The ink-smooshed panel is layered onto a teal panel, and I finished the card by adhering three punched snowflakes in teal (Recollections punch).

Cat Lovers Hop 2021 - Day 4 (Paw-tumn Newton)

Hello, everyone!  Today is Day 4 of the Annual Cat Lovers Hop!  This is the seventh year of this fun event, and I would like to thank Janis at Her Peaceful Garden for hosting and organizing it again this year.  For us cat lovers, it's something to look forward to each year!  

My fourth card features stamps from Newton's Nook, one of the generous sponsors of the hop who has done so for all seven years - thank you!  

I made this card for my Dad, who hasn't been feeling well lately.  I stamped the images (some of them twice) from Newton's Nook Paw-tumn Newton and then coloured and fussy-cut.  The sentiment is from Newton's Nook Whispering Pines, which I stamped in brown and fussy-cut.  Dies used:  Gina Marie Designs Stitched Rectangles, Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Border.  Patterned Paper:  Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Fall.

 I was inspired by Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge 160, whose theme is Cozy Plaid.

My card design was inspired by Sketch 683 at Sketch Saturday, which I turned upside down.

Cat Lovers Hop 2021 - Day 3 (Hohoho)

Hi, everyone!  It's Day 3 of the 7th Annual Cat Lovers Hop!  If you love cats as much as I do, then this is the place to be!  There is a lot to see and do, and it all involves kitties!  If you haven't already checked it out, it runs until October 30.  As for me, I've already fallen behind in visiting the myriad of kitty card link-ups, so I'll be back at it today!

In the meantime, here's my card for today, and it's another winter holiday card. I stamped the kitty, holly, and hat from Avery Elle's Dear Santa, coloured them with markers, and fussy-cut so I could pop them up on foam tape. For the background, I ink-blended Distress Oxides (Candied Apple, Festive Berries, Spun Sugar) and spritzed with water.  After it dried, I die-cut with STAMPlorations Holiday Words Plate.  The white panel is embossed with Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow.

Cat Lovers Hop 2021 - Day 2 (Let it Snow)

Hello, everybody!  Welcome to Day 2 of the 7th Annual Cat Lovers Hop.  The dates for this year's hop are October 25 to 30 so you have until Saturday to join in!  Thank you, Janis, for hosting the hop again this year - I always enjoy myself!  There are so many things to see and do that I ran out of time yesterday so I'm hoping to get caught up today!  Head over for yourself and join the fun!

For Day 2 of the hop, I'm sharing another winter holiday card.  I stamped the kitties from Penny Black Winter Friends, coloured them with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop them up on foam tape.  I added some white marker doodles on their hat and earmuffs and some Glossy Accents on their eyes. 

 

I created the background with Distress Oxides (Abandoned Coral, Wilted Violet) using the watercolour ink-smooshing technique.  I like this non-traditional colour combo!  I added a Let it Snow die-cut (not sure of the brand) along with five purple snowflake sequins.  I stamped a sentiment from Uniko Simply Said Blocks Christmas, fussy cut, and adhered with foam tape.
