ATC - Love Letter Kitty (Snowie)

Hello!  It's me again!  Here is the last of the three love-themed ATCs that I'm sharing today!  This time I featured my kitty Snowie!  If you missed my two previous ATCs starring Honeydew and Kiwi, please scroll back.

For those who are unfamiliar with ATCs, the acronym stands for Artist Trading Cards. They measure 2.5" x 3.5" and are a lot of fun to make!  If you would like more information, please see here.

I started by re-sizing a photo of Snowie, printing, and then fussy-cutting.  For the background, I stamped in Versamark and heat-embossed Pink and Main Polka Hearts in red on black cardstock measuring approx. 2.25" x 3.25".  Unfortunately, it is hard to see that the embossing is red as it just looks glossy, but I went with it anyway.  I added mailbox and envelope dimensional stickers from Martha Stewart, and a die-cut love word, which I layered onto white cardstock and fussy-cut.  Finally I layered the panel onto white cardstock measuring 2.5" x 3.5".

My inspiration came from the December ATC challenge at Happy Little Stampers, which has a theme of Pets.  I was also inspired by the Love theme at Mod Squad Challenges.

I would also like to support the following challenges:

ATC - True Love Kitty (Honeydew)

Hi, everybody!  As promised, I'm back to share another love-themed ATC!  This one features my kitty Honeydew!  Stay tuned for one more ATC today!

For those who are unfamiliar with ATCs, the acronym stands for Artist Trading Cards. They measure 2.5" x 3.5" and are a lot of fun to make!  If you would like more information, please see here.

I started by re-sizing a photo of Honeydew, printing, and then fussy-cutting.  For the background, I stamped in Versamark and heat-embossed Pink and Main Polka Hearts in white on black cardstock. Behind Honeydew is an acetate label shape and frame from Martha Stewart.  I added a die-cut heart that says "True Love" (Cheery Lynn Sweetheart Candy) and a small heart banner along the bottom.  Finally I layered the panel onto red cardstock measuring 2.5" x 3.5".

My inspiration came from the December ATC challenge at Happy Little Stampers, which has a theme of Pets.  I was also inspired by the Love theme at Mod Squad Challenges.

ATC - Kitty Love (Kiwi)

Hello, everyone!  I thought you might be getting tired of seeing my holiday cards so I have switched gears!  Today I'm sharing a love-themed ATC featuring my kitty Kiwi!  Actually, I have made three ATCs and will be sharing them all today so stay tuned!  I bet you can already guess that the stars of my other ATCs will be my two other kitties!

For those who are unfamiliar with ATCs, the acronym stands for Artist Trading Cards. They measure 2.5" x 3.5" and are a lot of fun to make!  If you would like more information, please see here.

I started by re-sizing a photo of Kiwi, printing, and then fussy-cutting.  I made a background with washi tape, including two glitter tapes, on a white cardstock scrap measuring approx. 2.25" x 3.25".  I die-cut alphabet banner letters to spell LOVE and added a tiny die-cut heart banner in white along the bottom.  Finally I layered the washi tape panel onto black cardstock measuring 2.5" x 3.5".

My inspiration came from the December ATC challenge at Happy Little Stampers, which has a theme of Pets.  I was also inspired by the Love theme at Mod Squad Challenges.

I would also like to support the following challenges:

Angels with Fawn

Hi, everyone!  I'm back again today with another holiday card!  I enjoyed the sketch I used for my previous card so much that I was inspired to make another one!  I think the removable tag is so fun!  I'm making some holiday cards for 2019 and it feels good to get a headstart!

The cute image is from Gecko Galz Tiny Christmas Angels Collage Sheet. I used scraps of patterned paper from Winter Story 6x6 paper pack. The white card front was dry-embossed with Taylored Expressions Winter Flurry.  The die-cut sentiment is STAMPlorations Let it Snow Phrase Die, and I used bow and tag dies from my stash.  I finished off the card by adding some snowflake sequins.

Below you can see the removable tag. I stamped a sentiment and snowflakes from STAMPlorations Winter Chill on the patterned paper using Memento Paris Dusk. The baker's twine is from American Crafts.

Here is the fun sketch that inspired me! It is from The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch. Each Design Team member picked her favorite sketch, and this is Bonnie's choice:

I was also inspired by Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge 113, which is Spin the Wheel with the Letter X. The theme is Anything Goes with an elf, fairy, gnome, or pixie. An angel is acceptable too (I checked).

I would also like to support the following challenges: ABC Christmas Y for Your Favourite Thing (critters on my cards) UE; Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional Any Christmas or New Year Card UE; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper December UE; Creatalicious AG Optional Christmas with Snowflakes UE; Cute Card Thursday AG UE; DL.ART December Linky AG UE 1/d; Gecko Galz December Snow Queen UE; Happy Little Stampers Christmas Optional Snow UE; Happy Little Stampers AG with Dies UE; Simon Says Stamp Wednesday AG 1/5; STAMPlorations CUTplorations December (I was inspired by the Christmas theme, blue background, and snowflakes); STAMPlorations Never-Ending Anything Goes Must use STAMPlorations products; STAMPlorations TAGplorations All About Christmas Optional Glitter; Three Amigos Blog Hop Christmas/Winter/ Holidays UE; Word Art Wednesday AG w Uplifting Sentiment 3/5 wk2

Star Angel - Celebrate the Wonder

Hello, everyone!  The holidays are over but I'm working on my 2019 cards!  Here is another one!

The cute image is from Gecko Galz Tiny Christmas Angels Collage Sheet.  I added Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle on the star and wings.  I used scraps/snippets of patterned paper from Winter Story 6x6 paper pack.  The grey card front (also a snippet) was dry-embossed with Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow.  I used bow and tag dies from my stash to die-cut from scraps/snippets, along with some holographic leaf trim and snowflake sequins from my Dollarama stash.  The Baker's twine is from American Crafts.

Here you can see the removable tag.  This is the first time I've tried this!  I stamped a sentiment from Penny Black The Wonder.

I was inspired by one of the sketches at The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch.  Each Design Team member picked her favorite sketch from the last few years, and this is Bonnie's choice:

I was also inspired by Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge 113, which is Spin the Wheel with the Letter X. The theme is Anything Goes with an elf, fairy, gnome, or pixie. An angel is acceptable too (I checked).

Since I used so many scraps/snippets of patterned paper and cardstock, I am also joining Di at Pixie's Snippet Playground 342.

I also found inspiration in the following challenges:

Hi, everyone!  Here I am, back with another holiday card!  I'm getting a headstart on next year's cards!  My goal for 2019 is to make at least two holiday cards each month!  I tried it last year but failed miserably so I am determined to stick to it in 2019, and I'm starting immediately!

The adorable bear image is Beccy's Place Winter Stanley.  I used the precoloured version, fussy-cut, popped up on foam tape, and added Star Dust Stickles to his hat pompom.  The gorgeous embossing folder is Apple Blossom Let it Snow.  The Let it Snow Phrase Die is from STAMPlorations.  I finished off the card with a few snowflake sequins from my stash.

I love this gorgeous die-cut, but I do not know the name or manufacturer as I received it from a friend (thank you!). The background was made with various shades of blue Alcohol Inks on yupo paper. I added Star Dust Stickles to the snowflakes and then embellished the card with a few snowflake sequins and flat-back pearls.  The navy card front was dry-embossed with Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow.

Deer Ornament

Hello, everybody!  I'm back again today to share another holiday card!  As mentioned, I'm getting a headstart on next year's cards!

I love this gorgeous ornament die-cut, but I do not know the name or manufacturer as I received it from a friend (thank you!).  The background was made with various Distress Oxides on watercolour paper using the ink-smooshing technique.  I added a bow made with White as Snow crinkle ribbon from DL.ART. The embossing folder is Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow, and for the sentiment, I die-cut the word from a scrap of my Distress Oxide background with Recollections Christmas Words.  Lastly I embellished the card with lots of snowflake sequins and gems.

I was inspired by the Cut it Up Holiday Tic-Tac-Toe board.  I went with Ornament, Embossing (Dry), and Gems.

Believe in the Elf

Hello, everybody!  Today I'm sharing another holiday card!  I'm getting a headstart on next year's cards while all of my supplies are out!  I have two cards to share today so I'll be back with another card shortly!

The cute elf image came from a holiday matching card game (Dollarama). The patterned paper is BoBunny Mistletoe Collection and unknown received in happy mail.  Dies used were Memory Box Snowflake Sprig and Recollections Christmas Words.  The patterned, shaped die-cut behind the elf is from Multi Crafts Holiday Trendz. I finished off the card by adding three red snowflake sequins.

The idea is that Santa's little helper watches the children by day, and each night, he or she returns to the North Pole to report on whether the children were naughty or nice. Although this tradition was popularized by the 2005 "Elf on the Shelf" book, our family enjoyed this tradition when I was a child growing up in the 1960's and '70s.) 2/3; Winter Wonderland AG Christmas 2/3; Word Art Wednesday AG w Uplifting Sentiment 2/5 wk1

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Hello, everyone!  As promised, I'm back again with another holiday card!  I mentioned earlier that I've finished with my cards for this year so I'm starting on next year's!  This is the last of four cards that I am sharing today!

The die-cut is Cottage Cutz Deer Snowflake Scene, sentiment stamp from Newton's Nook, and embossing folder is Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow.

The Distress Oxide background was made some time ago, so I don't recall the specific colours used, but it was a mixture of blues and greens on photo paper. I layered each colour using the watercolour ink-smooshing technique and dried in between each colour. It's best to work from lightest colour to darkest. When finished, it had a dull appearance but when wiped with a baby wipe, it became vibrant like you see here. I was inspired to try this technique after watching this video here.

I would also like to support the following challenges: ABC Christmas Y for Your Favourite Thing (critters on my cards) and Z for Zero Embellishments UE; Ally's Angels Christmas 1/3; Cardz TV 79 AG 1/3; Crafting by Designs Holiday AG 3/5; Crafty Creations AG 1/2; Crafty Gals Corner 5th Blogiversary AG 1/3; Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional Things with Wings UE; Creatalicious AG Optional Christmas with Snowflakes UE; Creative Moments AG Optional Christmas 1/3; Crop Stop December Link Party 46 (Tim Holtz Distress products found at Crop Stop here) 1/5; Cute Card Thursday AG UE; Die-Cut Divas Winter 4/4; Die Cuttin' Divas Happy Holidays 1/3; DL.ART December Linky AG UE 1/d; DL.ART Thankful Thursday December Christmas 1/2 wk3; Double D Let it Snow 1/3; Happy Little Stampers Christmas Optional Snow UE; Happy Little Stampers AG with Dies UE; Hiding in My Craftroom KISS Christmas or December Holiday 1/3; Jo's Scrap Shack Always AG 1/3; Lil Patch of Crafty Friends AG 1/3; Mod Squad Christmas or Winter Use a Metal Die 1/3; Pammie's Inky Pinkies AG 1/3; Penny's Paper-crafty AG 1/3; PINspirational AG 1/5; The Corrosive December AG 2/3; The Outlawz Monday Greetings GCC121718 Christmas 1/3; Three Amigos Blog Hop Christmas/Winter/Holidays UE; Through the Craft Room Door AG 1/2; Winter Wonderland AG Christmas 1/3; Word Art Wednesday AG w Uplifting Sentiment 1/5 wk1

Hi, everyone!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome my two new followers - My Kraft Kloset Kim Klinkovsky and Alexandra Trofimov - thank you for joining me! Today I'm sharing another holiday card!

The adorable image was a freebie awhile back from Free Pretty Things for You (thank you!).  I fussy-cut the image and popped it up on foam tape.  The patterned paper is from Winter Story 6x6 paper pack, and I stamped a sentiment from Art-C.  I added three tiny punched stars in sparkly gold, and a die-cut snowflake in white (I can't remember which die set it's from - I die-cut a bunch of snowflakes a couple weeks ago and they are all mixed together now).  I was inspired by Sketch 206 at Feeling Sketchy:

I was also inspired by Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge 113, which is Spin the Wheel with the Letter X. The theme is Anything Goes with an elf, fairy, gnome, or pixie.  An angel is acceptable too (I checked).

Gift Envelope

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a gift envelope!  I made this a few months ago to enclose some happy mail for a crafty friend!  (If I can fnd the YouTube tutorial I followed, I will link it.)

The adorable bear is Beccy's Place Loving Stanley, and I used the precoloured version, fussy-cut, and popped up with foam tape. Behind Stanley I used some die-cut doilies (the pink one was a gift from Gail S., thank you!).  The patterned paper is from my old 12x12 stash (Carson Dellosa) and I tore one of the edges to add some texture.  At the top and bottom I added some thin washi tape, and I used my Recollections butterfly punch with some sequins for embellishments.  The sentiment die is Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello.

Here's a photo of the back of the envelope. The flap is kept closed with a velcro semicircle.

I added another punched butterfly on the flap, and I stamped my "Handmade by" stamp (Joy Clair custom stamp) at the bottom.
