Comfort and Joy

Hello, everybody!  The Month of Holiday Cards challenge over at Beccy's Place is nearing the end.  I've had so much fun all month and was able to make a lot of cards - thank you, Beccy, for the awesome inspiration!  For the final day, the challenge is to do what we love!  I love animals, and I love winter scenes, so here's my card!

I die-cut the deer (Poppystamps Whittle Deer) and trees (Impression Obsession Evergreen Trees) and adhered them to a torn white scrap.  I added white dots to the deer (Posca paint marker) and Stickles for snow.  The patterned paper, sentiment, and plaid tree are all from EnoGreeting Christmas Collection, and I adhered white and green snowflake sequins to finish off the card.

I would like to support the following challenges: 52 Weeks to Christmas Animals 1E; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper November UE; DL.ART November Linky UE 1/d; Penny's Paper-Crafty AG 3/3; Simon Says Stamp Wednesday AG 4/5; The Outlawz Twisted Thursday AG Twist AG 1/2; Word Art Wednesday 414-415 AG w Uplifting Sentiment wk2 4/5

Thank you for looking at my card! Wishing you a joyful day!

Jolly Snowmen

Hi, everyone! I have another holiday card to share with you! All month I've been devoted to the Month of Holiday Cards challenge over at Beccy's Place and I continue to be inspired! Although I've finished all the letters of the alphabet, today I'm revisiting "J" for jolly!

This fun snowman image is from Beccy's Place - Snowfolk set. I fussy-cut the precoloured image and adhered with foam tape. For the background, I used an embossing folder (Taylored Expressions Snowfall) and then sanded it to expose the embossed areas in white (I also used this technique on yesterday's card here). I hand-cut a snowy landscape from white glitter cardstock to ground the image. I added two kinds of washi tape along the bottom and then finished off the card by adhering three red star-shaped gems.

Double Trouble Paper Crafting has a challenge to Bring on the Glitz with a Snowman, and I've done two of the three prompts: Thing 1 - bling, glitz and/or glitter; and Thing 3 - Include a Snowman (I've already maxed out for Thing 2).

I would like to support the following challenges: Penny's Paper-Crafty AG 2/3; Simon Says Stamp Wednesday AG 3/5; Simon Says Stamp Monday Tape it Up 1/5; Word Art Wednesday 414-415 AG w Uplifting Sentiment wk2 3/5

Yuletide Greetings

Hello, everybody!  I continue to play along over at Beccy's Place in her Month of Holiday Cards!  It's an alphabet challenge, and there are only a couple days left.  For Day 28 - "Y", I chose Yuletide Greetings!

This sweet snowman is from Beccy's Place Snowman set.  I fussy-cut the precoloured image and adhered with foam tape.  For the background, I used an embossing folder (free with magazine) and then sanded it to expose the embossed areas in white.  I hand-cut a snowy landscape from white glitter cardstock to give the snowman a place to stand.  I adhered a number of red snowflake sequins and some green tree sequins.  I stamped the sentiment (Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas) on a white scrap and adhered with foam tape.

Double Trouble Paper Crafting has a challenge to Bring on the Glitz with a Snowman, and I've done two of the three prompts: Thing 1 - bling, glitz and/or glitter; and Thing 3 - Include a Snowman (I've already maxed out for Thing 2).

Enjoy the Sweet Season Z-fold Card

Hello, everyone! Today I'm sharing a Z-fold card!  I followed a tutorial over at Beccy's Place!  You can check out all of Beccy's tutorials here!  All month I have been participating in Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards and today I'm on the letter "Z" so I went with Z-fold.  (I'm almost finished the alphabet - I just have "Y" remaining!)  My card is tall and thin, measuring 3.5" x 8.5" and it fits easily into a No. 10 envelope.

I recently won some gorgeous images from Jan's Digi Stamps (thank you!) and today I'm using Holiday Candy Deluxe Set!  I chose the precoloured images - there are three different colourways so I went with the pastels.  On the front of my card you can see the candy jar and sentiment from the set.  I fussy-cut both and added foam tape behind the candy jar.

I adhered a punched bow (Tim Holz punch) and several gems. The patterned papers are all from Crate Paper Snow and Cocoa.

I took lots of photos!

On the middle panel I added some die-cut candy canes and holly, along with a fussy-cut "sweet" word from one of the sentiments.

On the final panel, I added some white cardstock for a place to handwrite a message.  The two candy corners and the sentiment are from the Holiday Candy Deluxe Set.  I used a wonky oval die for the sentiment and finished off the card with another punched bow.

I would also like to support the following challenges: Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional "R" UE; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper November UE; Creative Moments 181 Ribbon and/or Bows 3/3; DL.ART November Linky UE 1/d; Dragonfly Dreams Christmas/ Winter UE; Gem of a Challenge AG 2/3; Jan's Digi Stamps AG 4/5; Simon Says Stamp AG 1/5; The Outlawz Festive Friday Christmas UE; Through the Craft Room Door AG 2/2; Wednesday's Creative Inspirations Winter Blues UE; Word Art Wednesday 414-415 AG w Uplifting Sentiment wk2 1/5

Naughty or Nice

Hello, everyone!  I'm back again today with another holiday card!  I'm making lots of cards this month as December draws near!

I stamped Newton's Nook - Newton's Candy Cane and coloured him with my markers (Bic Mark-its and Dollarama Crafts).  I decided to colour him as a ginger tabby (much like the real Newton, who sadly crossed over the Rainbow Bridge in October).  I stamped a fun sentiment from Newton's Nook - Newton's Curious Christmas, die-cut it with a stitched tag (La-La Land Stitched Elements), and adhered a baker's twine bow. The patterned paper is from BoBunny Woodland Winter, and I finished off the card by adding some punched snowflakes with gems in the centers (Recollections punch).

My card design was inspired by the sketch at Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge 111.  I hand-cut the banner ends and doodled some faux stitching in white (Posca paint pen).  The white and teal squares and the red banner are all embossed with Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow.

I've also been inspired by the alphabet challenge over at Beccy's Place and her Month of Holiday Cards.  I missed making a card for Day 16 - "N" so today I'm going with Naughty or Nice.  I have only "Y" and "Z" left to finish the alphabet!

Holiday Shaker Card with Kitties

Hello, everybody!  Today I'm sharing another shaker card!  I used to make shakers all the time and then stopped for some reason - I just re-discovered how much I love them!  This one is a holiday thank-you card - I like to have a few of these on hand over the holidays!

These adorable kitties are digital clipart from TheDigitalChick on Etsy. I've been making a lot of cards with this set - this is my 6th one! I added a cute sentiment digitally (freebie from Aud Sentiments a few years ago, but I can't find the direct link) and then fussy-cut both so I could adhere them to the front of the shaker.

For the shaker frame I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares (I die-cut two squares together to create the frame).  The scene background behind the shaker is from The Paper Shelter - Yep, I Have my Methods. Inside the shaker, I used several different styles and sizes of snowflake sequins (some from Kat Scrappiness).  I'll add another photo below so you can see them better.  This is a thank-you card so I added a punny "Thank Mew" sentiment using my Dymo label maker that I've had since I was a child.  The teal card panel is embossed with Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow, and I finished off the card by adhering snowflake sequins in red and white (Kat Scrappiness).

I would also like to support the following challenges: Allsorts Thank You or New Year 3/3; Beccy's Place - Month of Holiday Cards revisiting "S" for shaker, snowflakes, skating) UE: Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional "R" (red, retro) UE; Cute Card Thursday Winter UE; Die Cut Divas Thanksgiving or Thank You 4/4; Kat Scrappiness Let's Give Thanks UE; Mod Squad Thanks or Thankful Shaker Card 3/3; Show Us Your Pussycats Furrything Goes UE; The Paper Funday AG Thanksgiving 4/4; The Paper Shelter 407 Christmas Card 2/3; Tuesday Throwdown Punny Sentiments 2/3

Kitty Happy Holidays

Hi, everyone - it's me again!  I have another holiday card to share!  I can't believe this is the last week of November already!

This sweet kitty image is digital clipart from TheDigitalChick on Etsy. It's a set of 12 images and this is the 5th one with which I've made cards!  I added a Happy Holidays sentiment (AC Digitals) digitally and then fussy-cut so I could pop him up on foam tape. The square scene background behind the kitty is from The Paper Shelter - Gingerbread House.  I fussy-cut some of the candies from the background and adhered them to the patterned paper (Lawn Fawn).  I fussy-cut the bow and popped it up on foam tape. I added a scalloped border (Lawn Fawn), and I finished off the card with some snowflake sequins.

I would also like to support the following challenges:

Recycled Winter Scene

Hello, everybody!  I continue to play along over at Beccy's Place in her Month of Holiday Cards! This annual challenge is lots of fun and full of holiday inspiration!  I hope you'll check it out!  Beccy is very generous with prizes - thank you, Beccy!

It's an Alphabet Challenge and I'm revisiting "R" and this time I'm going with recycle.  This snowy scene is recycled from an old commercial Christmas card that a family member received and saved for me to use for this purpose. I love giving it a new life!  The image features a group of boys playing hockey so I think this will be a good card for my nephew.

I overlaid the image with Find It Trading Amy Design Wintertide Frame Die, and added a die-cut Let it Snow greeting. This was a quick and easy card!

Butterfly Pop-up

Hello, everyone!  Before I get started I would like to welcome my newest follower - Artsystamper (Beverly) - thank you for joining me!

I have another holiday card to share, but this one is all about butterflies and it has a pop-up feature!

I went with traditional red and green and used foil and glitter cardstock. I received these layering dies in friend mail and this is the first time I've used them. It's a lot of die-cutting, but the nice thing is that there are a lot of left-over butterflies that punched out that I can save for future projects!  I stamped a sentiment from Your Next Stamp and added a number of red gems in the centers of the butterflies.

I was inspired by Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge, where the theme is "P" for Pop-up Card plus butterflies. She provided a tutorial here, and I went with the easier version 2.  It was not easy to get a good photo so I took a few.

Over at Beccy's Place and her Month of Holiday Cards, Day 10 was Non-Holiday Stamps, but I went with Non-Holiday Dies.

I would also like to support the following challenges:

Tropical Thankful Shaker

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a shaker card!  I forgot how much I enjoy making these!  This is my third one in the past week!

I used some cute flamingo and tropical flower stickers that I received from my friend Fiki (thank you!).  I thought they worked well with my new Anna Griffin Shaker Card Kit, which I got from the Canadian shopping channel on clearance.  The patterned paper, gold sequins, and bow are all from the kit. There is no stamping on this card!  I used a few dies with snippets/scraps of white and gold metallic cardstock (tag and banner from LaLa Land Crafts, heart from Poppystamps, sentiment from Momenta) and finished off the card with lots of green gems.

I was inspired by a number of challenges: Allsorts Thank You or New Year 2/3; Artsystamper Digitals 4 Give Thanks 3/3; Aud Sentiments Thank You Sentiment 3/5; Crafty Calendar Cute and Girly 3/3; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper November UE; Dare 2B Artzy Thankful 3/3; Die Cut Divas Thanksgiving or Thank You 3/4; DL.ART November Linky UE 1/d; DL.ART Thankful Thursday Thankful Wk 3 2/2; Kat Scrappiness Let's Give Thanks UE; Let's Craft and Create AG Optional Thank You 3/3 Mod Squad Thanks or Thankful Shaker Card 2/3; Pixie's Snippet Playground 366 I save even the smallest scraps of cardstock to use for die-cutting as I did here; The Creative Crafters 22 AG 1/3; The Paper Funday AG Thanksgiving 3/4; The UnstampaBelles 95 Paradise Pretties and Tropical Delights with Twist Into the Wild

Holiday Thanks Shaker Card

Hello, everybody!  Happy Saturday!  Today I have a holiday thank-you shaker card to share!  I think it's important to have some thank-you cards ready for the holidays, so I made this fun shaker!

The cute image is from Your Next Stamp Frosty Friends and I coloured it with my markers and then fussy-cut. I used my new Anna Griffin Shaker Window Dies to make an ornament shaker! These dies were on clearance at the Canadian shopping channel so I was thrilled to get them! The red and silver glitter cardstock are from Dollarama, and the plaid paper is from Your Next Stamp Crazy for Coffee. Inside the shaker, the background is embossed with a snowflake pattern and I added lots of small clear sequins and white snowflake sequins. For the little Thanks tag, I used A Jillian Vance Tiny Tags stamp and die set and added a crinkle ribbon bow (DL.ART Christmas Red) topped with a snowflake sequin.  I finished off the card by adhering some pearly snowflakes.

I was inspired by a number of challenges:
Allsorts Thank You or New Year 1/3

Snowman Bobbie

It's me again!  I have one more card to share today!  I'm still getting lots of inspiration from Beccy's Place and her Month of Holiday Cards!  It's an alphabet challenge and while I'm contemplating my "Y" and "Z" cards, I am revisiting "O" for oval.

This cute image is Beccy's Place - Bobbie, and I went with the precoloured version. He's one of the many freebies over at Beccy's Place blog.  I fussy-cut the image and popped him up on foam tape. I die-cut a stitched oval and stitched scalloped oval (both Gina Marie Designs) and made a little place for him to stand with a sparkly white snowbank. I added white dots on the oval to simulate snowfall. The striped paper (DCWV Glitter Basics Stack) is sparkly, as are the bow and punched snowflakes (DCWV Glitzy Glitter).  I added Stickles to Bobbie's pompom and buttons. The white panel is embossed with Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow, and the scalloped border die-cuts are from Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment is from Beccy's Place - Finn in the Snow, and I hand-cut each word and adhered them separately. I finished off the card b adding gems to the tree sparkly snowflakes.  There is lots of sparkle on this card!

My card design was inspired by Sketch Saturday 590:

Double Trouble Paper Crafting has a challenge to Bring on the Glitz with a Snowman, and I've done all three of their prompts: Thing 1 - bling, glitz and/or glitter; Thing 2 - Join Cupcake Inspirations Snowman Challenge; and Thing 3 - Include a Snowman.

Cardinal and Holly

Hello, everyone! I'm back today to share another holiday card! Beccy's Place and her Month of Holiday Cards alphabet challenges have been inspiring me again!  I'm almost finished with the alphabet so I'm revisiting some of my favourite letters. For this card, I'm going with "C" for Cardinal.

This cardinal is one of my favourite images and I seem to use it every year.  It's actually a freebie over at Beccy's Place called Cardinal and Holly.  I went with the precoloured version, fussy-cut, and layered it onto an oval die-cut.  The patterned paper is from Carta Bella Christmas Delivery, and the background is embossed with a holly pattern.  The sparkly red scalloped border die-cuts are from Lawn Fawn.  I adhered some Sweet Pea crinkle ribbon/bow from DL.ART, a metal tree charm, and three red sequins.

My card design was inspired by Sketch Saturday 590:

Another Card using Scraps

Hello, everyone! I'm still playing along in the daily alphabet challenges over at Beccy's Place and her Month of Holiday Cards!  For Day 21, there's a non-alphabet challenge and it is to Use Scraps.  I'm all about that!  Great challenge, Beccy!  I had lots of scraps left over from two cards shared here and here.

This adorable snowman is from Beccy's Place - Snowfolk set - this cutie's name is Snowy Snowflake!  I used the precoloured image, fussy-cut, and added a sparkly band around his hat, as well as a snowflake sequin.  He's popped up on foam tape as well.  I stamped the punny sentiment from Your Next Stamp and added some punched snowflakes (red glitter cardstock with added gems) as well as some white snowflake sequins. This card has lots of sparkle and bling, and the fourth strip is red glitter cardstock!

My card design was inspired by Sketch -N- Scrap Card Sketch 158, designed by sketch artist and owner Lisa.  It's a great sketch to use up scraps!

Happy Pawlidays

Hello, everybody! I'm back again today with another card!  I'm still going strong with the alphabet prompts over at Beccy's Place and her Month of Holiday Cards!  Today I am jumping ahead to "X" and I went with XO.  Beccy also has a few other non-alphabet challenges which I need to catch up on.  So much inspiration, so little time!

My card features Bugaboo Digi Stamps - Winter Cat, which I coloured with my markers (Bic Mark-its and Dollarama Crafts) and then fussy-cut. I hand-cut a sparkly snowbank so he had a place to sit. The tag die is from Gina Marie Designs, and the patterned paper is from Forever in Time Holiday Trendz. I adhered three tiny banners and stamped "xo" (Clearly Besotted) on the white one. I stamped a punny sentiment (My Favorite Things) at the lower right corner.  The white panel is embossed with Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow, and I finished off the card with a number of punched snowflakes topped with gems.

I was inspired by Bugaboo Digi Stamps - Catch the Bug - Stella Says Sketch 719:

I was also inspired by Bugaboo Digi Stamps - Catch the Bug - November Bingo, and I went with sentiment, embossing, and sparkle:

Guest Designer - Imagine That Digistamp (Shaker Card)

Hello, everybody!  This month I am a Guest Designer over at Imagine That Digistamp - Creative Playground Challenge #11, and today I'm sharing my second card!  My first card can be seen here.  I hope you'll head over and check out the challenge!  The theme is always Anything Goes and you may use any vendor's images/stamps. You have until December 4 to play, and you could win an awesome prize from Imagine That Digistamp online shop!

I decided to make a shaker card! I haven't made one in ages so it was time!

This adorable image is Imagine That Digistamp - Mistletoe Kitty, and I coloured her to look like our Snowie. I fussy-cut the image and adhered her to the front of the shaker window.  For the fur on her hat, I used Snow Marker.  I fussy-cut the sentiment, which is also from the Mistletoe Kitty set. To create the shaker window, I used Memory Box Flurry Snowflake Frame and then embossed it with Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow. The stitched snowbank behind the kitty is die-cut with Simon Says Stamp Drifting Stitches Borders, and the patterned paper is from Imagine That Digistamp - Polar Fun - Digi Papers.  For the shaker bits, I used several sizes of clear sequins and a few white snowflakes.  To finish off the card, I adhered several colourful snowflake sequins.

Thank you to Kris for inviting me to be one of this month's Guest Designers at Imagine That Digistamp - Creative Playground Challenge #11!  I enjoyed myself!
