Brian's Coffee Page for Snowie's Memory Album

Hi, everyone!  Hubby Brian has been crafting again!  If you've been following me for awhile, then you may remember that he had a stroke four years ago, in 2018.  He has always been creative and recently made some cards for the Cat Lovers Hop.  There were so many encouraging comments at the time that he decided to make a page for Snowie's memory album for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  I am so proud of him!

The story behind the page is that having a cup of coffee was something he and Snowie shared each day.  Not the coffee, but the milk.  Each day when Brian made his instant coffee and added the milk, Snowie would jump onto the counter and wait for him to give her a small taste of the milk.  This was a daily ritural they both enjoyed.

Inspired by the photo of Snowie, Brian had a plan for his page and requested the following images:  a cat beside a cup, a milk container, and a jar of coffee.  He chose the sentiment as well.  He coloured all of the images himself with Prismacolor pencils and even added some extra artwork that was not on the original images.  For instance, the jar image was an empty jar, and he drew and coloured the coffee beans and printed his favourite coffee brand on the label.  For the milk container, in addition to colouring it, he added the word milk, the nutritional information on the side, and date codes along the top.  For the coffee cup, you will notice that he coloured it to look like the cup on the countertop, even doodling the orange cat on the handle, so creative!  I fussy-cut the images for him after he was finished.

Brian choose the patterned paper himself after I presented him with a number of choices, and he decided on the placement of each image.

The memory album for our beloved cat Snowie (may she RIP) was started by me a few years ago, but I haven't finished it yet.  Now I'm one page closer, thanks to Brian, and I think he did an awesome job!

Stamps:  Cat and sentiment (Your Next Stamp Coffee Break), tiny cat on front of cup (Adeline Atelier)
Digital images:  Milk container (Stampers Delights Kawaii Meow), empty jar (Diane's Daydream Design)

Brian would like to participate as follows:
2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop AG w Coffee, Tea, Cocoa, or Hot Apple Cider
Day of the Month Card Club 45 National Espresso Day (any coffee) 1/3
Show Us Your Pussycats 83 Furry-thing Goes UE

Thank you for looking at Brian's page, and thank you in advance for your encouraging words!

As soon as I saw this wonderful album page and read that it was made by Brian, I cried. Such heartfelt thought by you, Brian!!! And how sweet, creative and beautiful design!! There is a lot of love in this page! It's a so moving story behind this page and the adorable photo of Snowie waiting her morning milk to have her breakfast with you!
Your choice of elements to match the loving memories is just perfect and the way you put all them together looks so cute and clean! Great colouring on the cup, milk packaging and jar of coffee, well done!! And I'm very impressed by the little details you draw by hand! How much patience for drawing and colouring all the coffee beans! And the doodled red cat on the cup handle is so cute! Love the plaid design paper you choose, it speaks about home and sweetness, but it's also masculine as it have to be, it's YOUR page!
Kitty, I know that you are proud of Brian!!! He is a good sweet man and so talented too!
Hugs to you both, I wish you all the best!

This is such a lovingly designed site and I had to smile a little that Brian even wrote the nutritional information on the milk packaging. He has a good sense for small details. And I want to encourage Brian to feature his work at DotMCC as well!!
