Beaver Sending Smiles

For my Growing in Unity - Day 3 card and giveaway, please go here.

Hi, everyone!  I'm back with another card today!  I made a night-time forest scene featuring a  beaver, and I also included a little bunny, squirrel, and owl.  This card is going to my brother, who has a slight beaver problem near his property.

I stamped the beaver and wood pile from Your Next Stamp Autumn Animals, coloured them with markers, and fussy-cut. I die-cut a tree frame twice, once in kraft and the other in green. I cut off the leaves on the kraft tree and adhered it to the green one so the leaves showed through.

Using Your Next Stamp Forest Friends Die Set, I die-cut the evergreen trees in green, used a Fiskars wavy crimper to add texture, and then adhered them behind the tree frame.  I adhered the tree frame to a dark-brown woodgrain-embossed background and added a die-cut grass border at the bottom. I die-cut the bunny, squirrel, and owl from Your Next Stamp Forest Friends Die Set and adhered them to the tree or grass, along with the beaver and wood pile.  Lastly I white-heat-embossed a sentiment from Your Next Stamp Woodland Cuties on a dark-brown scrap and adhered with foam tape.

I was inspired by the following challenges:

Awww... How cute beaver!! I would wish have some here in my garden! :D Hope that your brother let them live happily... wild animals have the right to live in their environment, it is man who invades their properties... :D LOL
The forest scene on your card is awesome, love so much the big tree and the effect of the crimped evergreen trees! So creative!! Beautiful diecut squirrel, owl and bunny and LOVE the sentiment, such cute font it has! Also the embossed wood-grain panel matches so well with the other details! A lot of work and details to look at here! Well done!
I want also say you thanks so much for sharing your card with us at We Love Stamping!!

Oh how cute! I love how you placed the little critters in the tree, and have them on the ground also. You created a great scene! The crimped trees really add dimension! Great coloring on the beaver and wood stack!

what an adorable card, wow a lot of die cutting and gluing. Your brother will get a laugh out of it (I hope) We had beavers not far from us, we used to go watch them and then they were relocated, they are very destructive in the city.

A cute and fun card. I love the die cuts, they look good with the rascally beaver. Hope your brother gets those beavers straightened out. They can create havoc.
