Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop #5

Hello, everyone!  I would like to extend a warm welcome to my newest follower - valerija - so nice to have you join me!

Well I just couldn't help myself! I had to make another card for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! If you haven't checked out the hop, you should head over and take a look at all the coffee, tea, and cocoa inspiration and then join in yourself! See details here.

This beautiful image is from my Joanna Sheen Ivory Cats CD, which I won from Ike's World Challenges in December - thank you, Ike! I printed it on photo paper twice and then fussy-cut just the cat and teacup and popped it up with foam tape. The DP is from Simple Stories, and the sentiment is a clear stamp from Die-versions. I accented with four tiny black gems.

I love adding die-cut kitties to my cards, so I included my Poppystamps Walking Cat.  I was inspired by the challenge over at Poppystamps, which is Through My Window since this image shows a window looking out onto a farm.

The challenge over at Scrap it with a Song also inspired me, in particular the rock song, which is Nickelback's Photograph. I designed the card so the scene would look like a photograph, even printing it on photo paper. The lyrics, "look at this photograph," and "this is where I grew up" really spoke to me.  This scene reminds me so much of my grandparents' house, where I lived for several years in my young childhood. You could look out the kitchen window onto a farm scene just like this. The barn looks exactly like this! Nanny had a checkered table cloth on the table too, and the tea would be there in the morning; this is where we ate breakfast.  Fond memories but sad, since both grandparents passed away many years ago. These lyrics in the song also spoke to me: "It's hard to say it, time to say it, good-bye, good-bye."
