Kitty Planner Clips

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing some planner clips!  These are small so I enlarged the photo!

The stamp set is Newton's Nook - Newton Makes Plans and I coloured the images with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop them up on foam tape. I chose images representing activities I enjoy:  fitness, crafting, reading and, of course, coffee!  I added Glossy Accents to the glasses, dumbbells, coffee lid, paints, and yoga mat. The metal paper clips are from my Dollarama stash. I die-cut a lot of hearts in three colours and four sizes!  The heart dies are Poppystamps Petite Stitched Hearts and Gina Marie Designs Stitched Hearts. The clips turned out so cute, and they are exactly what I need for my planners!  Here they are in my monthly planner:

To make my clips I used cardstock scraps / snippets.  I always reach for my scraps before I die-cut a new sheet.  Here are the scraps I started with; the blue piece measures 8.5 x 5.5 inches, and the other two are slightly smaller; all had been used previously on other projects.  

My colour choices were inspired by Newton's Nook Inky Paws Colour Challenge 116, and I was also inspired by the snippets / scraps challenge at Pixie's Snippet Playground 371:

Bring on the Snow

Hello, everybody!  Today I'm sharing a winter holiday card!  My goal is to make two holiday cards per month and this is my second one - yay!  If I can make more, I will!  This one is a winter scene with tobogganing kitties!

These adorable kitties are from Newton's Nook - Newton's Toboggan, and I coloured them with markers in an attempt to make them look like our three kitties!  I fussy-cut the image so I could pop it up on foam tape and added Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss - Simply White to the white parts of their hats.

I created the background by inking Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide for the sky.  For the trees, I inked Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide through Newton's Nook - Evergreens Stencil, and then added two snowy hills using Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes border dies.  I stamped the sentiment and snowflakes from Newton's Nook - Newton's Toboggan and then finished the card by adhering a sparkly red stitched scalloped frame (Gina Marie Designs).  I love how cute this card turned out!

Kitty Love Shaker

Hello, everyone!  I've made another heart/love-themed card for Brian from the cats; this one is from Honeydew!  Now each of the cats has inspired a card; the card from Snowie is here, and a tag from Kiwi is here.  Honeydew's card is a shaker!

I stamped a number of images from Jane's Doodles - Cats, coloured them with markers, and fussy-cut, including two sentiments.  My card began with a Distress Oxide background of reds and pinks using the ink-smooshing technique.  I die-cut three stitched hearts out of the inky panel and then adhered it to acetate.  I adhered the coloured images and sentiments around the heart apertures.  I  added a sparkly red stitched scalloped frame (Gina Marie Designs), three sparkly pink hearts, and several heart and xo confetti.  For the three heart-shaped shaker windows, I stuffed them full of sequins, heart sequins and confetti in red, pink, white, and magenta.  This card has lots of sparkle!

Cozy Wishes Shaker

Hello, everybody!  Today I'm sharing a winter holiday card, my first for this month.  My goal is two per month, so I plan to make at least one more in February.  This one is a shaker!

The cute image is Scribbles Designs Snow Kisses and I coloured it with markers and added Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss - Simply White to the fur and pompoms on their hats.  I did some ink blending for the sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide and stamped some snowflakes in black (Newton's Nook).  On the front of the shaker, I die-cut Memory Box Silent Snowflake Frame and adhered it to acetate. I heat-embossed a sentiment from Joy Clair in white on a black scrap.  Inside the shaker are clear sequins, teal and white snowflake sequins, and even a white snowman confetti!  I adhered three teal snowflakes to the front of the shaker.

You Are Loved 2

Hi, everyone! I made one last card for the STAMPlorations Hey Love Hop and Linky! Have you joined yet? There are only two days left! STAMPlorations has kindly offered us two free colouring sheets, and this is the second time I've coloured these flowers, called STAMPlorations Love Doodled A2 Card Front. You will remember I coloured it the first time here, and I coloured the other free card front here.

I wanted to make a totally different card than the first one so this time I used my Distress Oxides and blending blushes to colour the flowers. The Distress Oxides dulled the black outline of the image so I traced over it with a black fineliner and then fussy-cut so I could pop it up on foam tape. I added Teal Glitter Glue (Studio G brand) in the flower centers, and for the "You Are Loved" words, I filled them with Nuvo Glitter Drops - Silver Moondust.  The white panel has been embossed with Cuttlebug Cross My Heart, and I adhered three punched butterflies in sage green, each topped with a pale green gem.

With All My Heart

Hello, everyone!  Before I get started I would like to welcome three new followers - Nastya Deutsch, Buba Momcilovic, and Tijana Momcilovic - thank you for joining me!

Today I'm sharing a card I made for a special gentleman that I read about over on DL.ART. He's 104 years old and a Veteran of the United States Marines, and he would like to receive some Valentines!  Diana has his address on her blog if you'd like to help give this gentleman a smile on Valentine's Day!

This cute panda is from Beccy's Place Bear Hugs, and I opted for the precoloured version. He's just so cute!  I die-cut the image with a scored rectangle and added white dots to his eyes and Xmas Red Stickles to the heart.  The plaid paper is from Raspberry Road Designs, and I stamped a sentiment from Pink and Main.  I used a tiny heart border, a small heart punch, and tied some baker's twine from DL.ART.

My card design was inspired by the sketch at Sketch Saturday 595: 

I finished the inside of the card!  I adhered a scrap of the patterned paper and stamped a sentiment (old wood-mounted stamp from Craftsmart).

I've read that some crafters make their cards but sadly never send them, but I mailed this card yesterday!  I want him to receive it in time for Valentine's Day!

TMS 540 - Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello, everybody!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Michelle - thank you for joining me!  She has a YouTube channel called Crafty Michelle!

It's Tuesday and that means we have another sketch for you at Tuesday Morning Sketches!  We continue with the Design Team choosing their favourite sketches from last year, and this week LJ has chosen TMS 517, designed by Debbie.  I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did!

I stamped the adorable image (Your Next Stamp Coffee Cuties) and coloured it with markers.  I fussy-cut the image, added Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle to the hearts, bow, and their tails, embellished the cup with a flower sequin, and adhered it to a stitched rounded square (Gina Marie Designs).  I die-cut the Your Next Stamp Heart Banner in two shades of purple and interchanged the hearts.  The patterned papers are from Dollarama Crafts (Pastel Galaxy and Patterns), and I stamped a sentiment (Your Next Stamp Fairytale Friends).  Lastly I embellished with three confetti hearts from my old stash (they look dark in the photo, but they are magenta).

Here is the inside of my card, which I finished with the leftover patterned paper.  I stamped the sentiment from Your Next Stamp Coffee Cuties and adhered three more of the magenta confetti hearts. I made this card for one of my sweet friends and it will be mailed to her this week!
