Purrfect Day Scene

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a spring scene card!

I coloured an adorable cat image called Luce from the Les Chats digi set by Vera Lane Studios. I won this set of four cats from Carole during the Cat Lovers' Hop last fall (thank you!).  This type of image is so much fun to colour because you can make the cat any colour you want.  I also added lots of doodling!

Winter is Here

Hello, everyone!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome my newest follower - karin - thank you for joining me!

One of my goals is to make at least two holiday cards a month.  I fell short last month so I'm going to make three cards this month to get caught up.  Here's the first one.  I was inspired by Dotty Jo's Christmas Kickstart Challenge 5, where the theme is Bears.  I make holiday cards for charity, and some request a non-religious sentiment, which is what I've done here.

I used clipart from Echo Park's Celebrate Winter collection (image and word art).  For the background, I did some ink blending using the negative of a snowflake die-cut as a stencil, with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide.  The white panel is embossed with Darice Snowflake Background.  I finished off the card with a few snowflake sequins.

My first Bifold Card

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a Bifold Card!  This is the first time I've made one!  If you are familiar with my blog, then you will know I do not make many fancy fold cards because I struggle with them, and this was no exception!   However, I was inspired by Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge, whose theme is Spin the Butterfly Wheel with B for Bifold.  Mrs. A's inspiration cards were so pretty, and she provided a lovely tutorial, so I had to try it!  I probably will not make this fold again, but I am happy with how it turned out. 

I went with an anniversary card and used dies and patterned papers from my stash. I embellished with lots of black gems.  Below shows how the card looks closed:

Rudolph Day - Just Fur You

Hi, everyone!  We've had a rough month here and I have not felt much like crafting; however, I could not miss out on Rudolph Day!  I received this adorable stamp from a purr-fect friend (you know who you are!); thank you!  I had fun colouring this sweet image with my markers.

Kitty Love Tag 3

Hi, everybody!  Here's my third (and final) tag!  Sorry to share them all on the same day but I have to seize the time when it presents itself.  If you missed my two previous tags, please see here and here.

For this tag, I made a cute little kitty scene with stickers, stamps, and dies. I bought the gel stickers at Dollarama and couldn't resist making a little scene.  The white kitty looks like our Snowie!

To make the background, I used the ink-smooshing technique with Distress Oxides and added hearts using a stencil.  It looks so similar to the ink-blended background on my two previous tags, but I find this technique much quicker and easier.  I used the ink-smooshing technique for the grass border as well.

Kitty Love Tag 2

As with my previous tag, I made the background by ink blending with Distress Oxides.

I added hearts using a stencil and then stamped some pawprints.

Below are the stamps used.  I stamped the kitty on white, coloured pink on her cheeks and ears to look like our Snowie, and then fussy-cut.  I heat-embossed the sentiment in white on black and fussy-cut. I added Black Soot Distress Oxide to the die-cut pawprint charm to highlight the pawprint. I stamped the sentiment on the tiny tag and adhered, and finished off my tag with some red crinkle ribbon.

Kitty Love Tag 1

I stamped the kitties on white, coloured pale pink on their ears, and fussy-cut.  Next I heat-embossed the sentiment in white on black and fussy-cut. The tiny charms along the bottom of my tag did not have coordinating stamps so I searched through my stash to find stamps that would work.  For the tiny cat face, I doodled it.
