Masculine Birthday Deer

Fall Birthday with Fairies

Hello, everyone!  Before I share my card, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Margaret - thank you for joining me!

Today I'm sharing a fairy birthday card in fall colours!  I received these cute Lawn Fawn stamped images from my friend Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. She had them already coloured and die-cut so it made for a quick and easy card! Thank you, Karen, I love them!

My First Pop-Up Card

Hello, everyone! Today I'm sharing a birthday card with a surprise pop-up element on the inside! I made this card a couple weeks ago for one of my dearest friends and she has now received it so I am able to share without spoiling the surprise! All photos are of the same card, one photo of the front and two showing the pop-up on the inside.



On the front of my card I have made a little birthday scene! Here are the products used:

• Digital stamps: Cat (Time For Tea Designs Mew-vellous Whiskers Moggie), birthday gift (Paper Sweeties freebie)
• Clear stamps: Sentiment (Newton's Nook), happy face (Your Next Stamp)
• Dies: Fence (Magnolia), sun, clouds, grass (Lawn Fawn), ladybug, stitched rectangle (Gina Marie Designs)
• Accents: Flower sequins 
• Colouring medium: Cat (Prismacolor pencils), gift (markers); clear Wink of Stella added to gift bow

Then when the card is opened....Surprise! A cake stand full of birthday cupcakes! This is my first pop-up card! I added the cats because my friend has two black cats!

CAS Snowman with Burlap and Lace

Hello, everyone!  Today I made a clean-and-simple snowman card! It's never too early to get going on the holiday cards!

I was inspired by the Burlap and Lace challenge at Newton's Nook Inky Paws (I used both!). I was inspired by the sketch at STAMPlorations (see below), and my colour combo was inspired by the July 2015 graphic at Rubber Dance Stamps (see below).

Colouring Page Card

Hello, everyone! Before I share my card, I would like to welcome two new followers - Jenn Paci and Stellar Crafts by Pam - thank you for joining me!

Today I'm sharing a thank-you card I made from a colouring page. This is a free Color Blooms Page Sampler from STAMPlorations (thank you, Shery!).  There is a blog hop and linky when you use this colouring page - this freebie is still available so head over and check it out! There are some awesome prizes too!

I coloured the page with Bic Mark-its (yes, these are children's markers, but they are fun for colouring!).  I sponged Old Paper Distress Ink on the text portion. The sentiment was stamped on a vellum scrap and I added a die-cut hummingbird, one cut in gold and one in black, layered together to create a shadow effect. Gold glitter was added to the centers of three flowers to finish off the card.

Alligator Scene Birthday

Hi, everyone! Today I'm sharing a masculine birthday card! Do you struggle with them as much as I do? When I spied this brand-new set from Imagine That Digistamps called Gator Strong, I fell in love! I thought it would be perfect for masculine cards! To me it's such a unique set because I haven't seen any stamps or images like this before.

I coloured the alligator with Prismacolor pencils, applied Glossy Accents to his eyes, and fussy-cut so I could pop him up with foam tape. I decided to make a little scene for my gator!  I started with the background, which I inked with Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I spritzed with water to add some texture.

After Googling alligator images, I decided on a monochromatic colour scheme for my scene. I used lots of die-cuts:  Poppystamps Thicket Frame (cut in two shades of green and layered), Lawn Fawn Meadow Borders, Impression Obsession Grass, Impression Obsession Cattails, and Cheery Lynn Tiny Things with Wings. The cattails and dragonflies were inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

This set comes with some cool sentiments but I needed one for a birthday card so I used a sentiment from Newton's Nook Shark Bites, which I heat-embossed in white on a green scrap. I finished off the card by adding tiny brown sequins to the dragonflies and a few green flower sequins on the frame.
