Butterfly Coffee

Hi, everyone! It's Day 6 of the Summer Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop, and today I'm sharing a card I made with the awesome Coffee Words from Bugaboo Digi Stamps. I sponged it with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink, fussy-cut, and popped up with foam tape.  

On the base of the card, I made some ink splats with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and added three strips of washi tape.  The bottom one is a lovely wide washi tape from Freckled Fawn, from their April Kit. The coffee cup is sitting on a torn scrap that I sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. 

The butterfly die cut is Memory Box Kaleidoscope Butterfly and Moonlight Butterfly, which I sponged with Vintage Photo and Evergreen Bough Distress Inks. Two brown sequins were added to the body of the butterfly. The sentiment is from Newton's Nook Hanging Around, and I heat-embossed it in white on a scrap sponged with Vintage Photo DI and then die-cut with a banner from Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes. Lastly I added a snippet of Memory Box Quinn Flourish in the bottom corner, also sponged with Vintage Photo DI.

Today I am sharing a tea pot shaker card. I started with a turquoise panel die cut with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles.  I die cut the tea pot (Top Dog Dies Teatime Decorative Die Set) from the rectangle and also in orange and used inlaid die cutting for the lid, spout, and handle.  

The little puff of steam is from Your Next Stamp Gingerbread House Die Set. The fun sentiment is from The Greeting Farm Tea-riffic Clear Stamps and I stamped it in black. Sequins are from my stash.  The colour combo was inspired by Cosmic Colours #14:

Tea Time

Today I'm sharing a collage-style card using some vintage images from Gecko Galz. I'm also joining the Gecko Galz in their "Tea for Two" challenge.  

I began with kraft cardstock and stamped it with Stampin' Up French Script using Simon Says Stamp khaki ink. The kitty was a freebie from Cajoline Scrap, and the butterfly prints are from Gecko Galz' Nature's Bliss collage sheet (I believe it was a newsletter freebie at one point, thank you!). The vintage "Let's Have Tea" word art is from Raspberry Road Designs, and I used a Dymo label maker for the "Tea Time" words. Along the left edge is some dotty washi tape and a scrap of patterned paper. To finish off the card I added a couple flowers from my stash and a number of sequins.

I've made another tea-themed card. I found this lovely vellum quote in my stash (Papermania) and I thought it would be perfect for the hop! 

I attached the vellum with washi tape and affixed a die-cut tea cup (Top Dog Dies Teatime Decorative Die Set). The little puffs of steam are from Your Next Stamp Gingerbread House Die Set.  For the butterflies, I didn't have the colour I wanted in cardstock so I sponged Evergreen Bough Distress Ink on a white scrap before I die-cut them (Joy!crafts). Lastly I added a number of sequins in black and holographic white.

I went with a tea-themed card again!  I created a splattered background using Black Soot Distress Ink and added strips of washi tape on a diagonal.  I die cut the tea pot in black (Top Dog Dies Teatime Decorative Die Set) and affixed it along the washi tape.  I added three gold hearts as if they're being poured from the pot.

The fun sentiment is from The Greeting Farm Tea-riffic Clear Stamps and I heat-embossed it in gold on a black scrap.  The colour combo is based on the inspiration graphics at Cupcake Inspirations and ShowCASe Your Style:

Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop, Watercolour Blog Hop, and Newton's Nook Inky Paws

Hello, everyone! I'm back again today with another card for the Summer Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop, but this time I'm also joining the Pretty Pink Posh Watercolour Blog Hop!  Anyone can join so head over and check out these fun hops!

I was also inspired by Newton's Nook Inky Paws colour challenge (see inspiration graphic below). Newton's Nook is one of the Super Sponsors for the Summer Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop! I created a smooshed watercolour background using Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and two Tombow watercolour markers (873 and 243) on Canson 120-lb watercolour paper. I wanted to match up the colours as closely as possible to the graphic below.  

I die-cut the watercolour panel with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles. Simon Says Stamp is one of the sponsors for the Watercolour Blog Hop!  I heat-embossed the kitty from Newton's Nook Newton's Antics in black and watercoloured him with Tombow markers, fussy-cut, and popped up with foam tape above a washi tape strip. I used the speech bubble from Newton's Nook Newton's Day Dream, heat-embossed it in white, fussy-cut, and popped up with foam tape. The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm Tea-riffic Clear Stamps and it is also heat-embossed in white.

The tea cup is from Top Dog Dies Teatime Decorative Die Set. Top Dog Dies is one of the Coffee Lovers' Super Sponsors!  I die-cut the tea pot in black and a second one in a colour I created with a Tombow watercolour marker (243), layered them, and popped up with foam tape.
