Halloween Scene (Creative Bug on the Loose image)

Hello, everyone!  Before I share my card, I would like to extend a warm welcome to my two new followers - Alice P  and Berina RGA - so nice to have you here!  Today I used a freebie image from Creative Bug on the Loose called Halloween Scene.  I've been wanting to play along in their monthly challenges for a while, and when this kitty image came along, I knew I couldn't resist!

I die-cut the image into a tag (Taylored Expressions Taglets), coloured with my Prismacolor pencils, and stapled on some black ribbon (Offray). It's hard to see in the photo, but the black panel is embossed with a dot pattern (Cuttlebug Swiss Dots).  The dotted orange paper is a snippet left over from another project (Creative Memories).  I added two sentiments here, just for fun!  The word bubble is a clear stamp from Lawn Fawn and the words are from Penny Black Spooky clear stamps, and I heat-embossed both in white on an orange snippet.  The "spooky" sentiment is made with tiny alphabet labels.

Glitter n Sparkle DT - Anything with a B

Hi, everyone!  A very warm welcome to my newest follower - Zoe - thank you for joining me! Well, it's Sunday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog. Hedgie Friends

Hello, everyone!  A warm welcome to my newest follower - Lucy Woods - so nice to have you here!

I decided to keep this CAS.  I've really been practicing my CAS style lately - it's not as easy as it looks, especially when I enjoy piling it on with embellishments!  But all I added here was some doodling around the edge, a bow and charm from my stash. This is the first time I've tried this type of doodling and I think it looks okay.

Hello / Hi (Newton's Nook Designs stamp)

Hi, everybody!  Happy World Card Making Day to you!  I'm back again with another card! This one features one of my favourite Newton's Nook Designs kitty stamps, and it's from the Newton's Daydream set.

I coloured Newton with my Prismacolor pencils, fussy-cut, and adhered him to a punched tag (Marvy Uchida).  I doodled some faux stitching around the tag and added a twine bow.

I used a Darice Leaves embossing folder and some scraps of patterned paper (MME and Creative Memories).  The heart die is Spellbinders Classic Hearts, and the sentiments are made from tiny alphabet labels.

My inspiration card features the adorable freebie digi called Yo Ho Ho.  I love this cute little dog!  I used two of the images and two of the sentiments in the set.  I went with the precoloured ones because they already look so amazing.

I added a few accents to finish it off, a crown charm, twine, gem, and two epoxy stickers, all from Michaels/Recollections.

Let's Squash Cancer (ITDK Progressive Challenge)

Hi, everyone.  Before I share today's card, I would like to extend a warm welcome to my newest follower - Natalie - so nice to have you here!

Today I am sharing a card featuring the October progressive challenge set called Let's Squash Cancer from Imagine That... Digis by Kris. Are you playing along in Kris's progressive challenges?  If so, then you have already received this set for free.  If not, why not join in!  You can find all the details here.  I have been trying some CAS cards lately and I did so again with this one.

You all know I love cats, but did you also know I love elephants?  Yes, I do!  They are a magnificent animal!  If you ever get the chance to watch the PBS special, My Wild Affair: An Elephant Who Found a Mom, you will fall in love with elephants too! But back to my card, this is an adorable digi for cancer awareness. There aren't many people whose lives haven't been touched by this dreadful disease.  On my card, I used the precoloured image and one of the great sentiments that comes with this set.  The ribbon looks sort of red in the photo, but it is a bright fuschia-pink colour, as is the baker's twine.

I finished the inside of the card too, using a freebie frame from Ditz Bitz facebook group, but I added the Let's Squash Cancer elephant over top of the little bear that was on the frame and, of course, another fabulous sentiment from this set.
