For my Tuesday Morning Sketches DT card, see here.
My shaker card was inspired by the Recipe challenge over at Mod Squad. They would like us to use a stamp, a stencil, and to make it interactive, and I've done it all!
The beautiful fish images are a new release from Beccy's Place called Fantail Goldfish, and I fell in love as soon as I saw them! I went with the precoloured version, fussy-cut, and applied Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle over the fins and tails. On the eyes, I added Glossy Accents and then a dot with a black Glaze pen.
My card started with the background, which I made with various shades of blue Distress Inks. I applied a darker blue Distress Ink using Simon Says Stamp Waves Stencil to create a look of movement in the water. Next I stamped three sizes of coral (Designs by Ryn Coral Set rubber stamps), two kinds of bubbles (Newton's Nook Tranquil Tides clear stamps), and some tiny fish (Newton's Nook Shark Bites clear stamps). The die-cut frame is from Gina Marie Designs Scalloped Stitched Frame Set, and I created the punny sentiment in Word. For the shaker bits, I used lots of sequins in crystal clear and various shades of teal, and adhered three to the outside of the acetate.
