Slimline Holiday Wreath Door with Gingers

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a tall slimline card!  This is only the second one I've made in this size (3.5 x 8.5"), so I'm slowly trying different sizes (very slowly LOL).

I fell in love with this wreath stamp from Your Next Stamp Holiday Wreaths because of the gingerbreads and other holiday cookies!  I coloured the image with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop it up on foam tape.  The sentiment banner is from the same stamp set, and I added some shadows with a light grey marker..

The door is a digital from Stamp On It called Door Border by Eureka Stamps.  I digitally made it a bit wider than the original design to accommodate the wreath but kept the height unchanged.  I printed the door image on kraft cardstock and then coloured it with markers. The red background is upcycled packaging from Dollarama, which I embossed with a brick pattern (Sizzix Texture Fades).  I had to run it through my Cuttlebug twice as the embossing folder is smaller than the red panel.

I added a handcut snowbank at the bottom of the door and a sweet snowman (Your Next Stamp Snowflake Kisses), which I coloured with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop him up on foam tape.

Here's a close-up of the wreath; those gingers are so cute!

Gingerbread Tags

Hello, everybody!  Today I am sharing a pair of gingerbread tags featuring stamps and dies from Your Next Stamp.  I coloured the stamped images with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop them up on foam tape.  I also added a few details with a white paint pen.

I die-cut the tags from kraft cardstock scraps and stamped a candy cane pattern in Versamark.  I die-cut the ricrac border and hole reinforcer from red glitter scraps and adhered.  After adhering the gingers with foam tape, I tied the tags with ribbon and twine and added tiny charms for extra cuteness.

Products used:

Stamps:  Your Next Stamp Sweet Holiday Cookies (gingerbread boy and girl), Your Next Stamp Sweet Holiday Greetings (candy cane and heart cookies), Your Next Stamp Candy Cane Ink Splatter (stamped in Versamark on kraft cardstock)

Dies:  Your Next Stamp Stitched Fishtail Tags (retired), Your Next Stamp Ric Rac Border, Tim Holtz Sizzix Tag Collection (hole reinforcer)

Other:  Ribbon (Crafty Ribbons), twine (DL.ART), gingerbread and candy cane charms (stash), kraft cardstock scraps (Dollarama), red glitter cardstock scraps (Darice)

Retro Kitty - Glad Tidings

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing one of my retro kitty countdown cards.  I haven't added the countdown number yet as I didn't want to stray too far from the sketch that inspired me (see below).  I will add the number later.  You might remember that I shared previous countdown cards, and I explained what they are on this post.  My goal is to finish 25 of them by the end of November.  I have 9 more to go.

The retro kitty image is from my digital stash.  The dark purple paper is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles called A Grungy Christmas, and I believe I won it at some point (thank you!).  The lighter purple paper is from Dollarama, and the tree paper was a leftover scrap.  I added a self-made sentiment (Microsoft Word) and embellished with three snowflake sequins and three punched snowflakes.

My card design was inspired by {BYSHC} Sketch 27 for October, and here's a link to the Facebook group where we link up our cards.  There are already dozens of gorgeous cards linked up!

Sweet Holiday Greetings Gingerbread Man

Hello, everybody!  Today I am sharing a gingerbread man card!  Gingers are my favourite holiday icon!  This adorable image is a freebie from Scribbles Designs called Gingerbread Man (thank you, Sandy!).  I coloured him with markers, added a few details with a white paint pen, and fussy-cut so I could pop him up on foam tape.

Did you notice how I coloured his hat pompom as a tiny gingerbread man?  This is such a cute and fun image!

The white panel was die-cut with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles and I added patterned paper (Cosmo Cricket) behind the circle.   I stamped the greeting (Your Next Stamp) in red and layered the white panel on a red panel.  To finish the card, I adhered three tiny peppermint candy embellishments.

My card design was inspired by Sketch 679 at Tuesday Morning Sketches but I used a circle instead of an oval.

Hello, Fall

Hi, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a fall-themed card featuring an adorable image called Foxy from Scribbles Designs.  I coloured the image with markers and fussy-cut.  Do you see foxes where you live?  We had a fox in our backyard twice this year.  He was very cute, but seeing him through the window was close enough for me!

I created a simple background with patterned paper scraps and pumpkin-coloured cardstock.  I adhered the fox and added a self-made sentiment that was die-cut into a speech bubble shape.  To finish the card I adhered three sequins.

I was inspired by the following challenges:

Newton's Birdhouse

Hello, everyone!  Today I am sharing a kitty card!  The image is Newton's Nook - Newton's Birdhouse, and I coloured it with markers and fussy-cut.

I was inspired by the sketch at Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge 183, and I rotated the sketch counter-clockwise:

The sentiment stamp is from Newton's Nook -  Basket of Wishes, which I heat embossed in white.  The bow is from Newton's Nook Pines and Holly Die; I die-cut  the bow twice, once in pink glitter and again in black glitter for a layered look.  The woodgrain patterned paper is from my scrap bin, and I used my Bira punches to make the tag and banners.  I finished the card by adhering a few blue gems.

I would also like to join the following 9 challenges, for a total of 10:

Retro Kitty Countdown 23

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing another card in my series of retro kitty countdown cards.  I explained what they are on this post.  My goal is to finish 25 of them by the end of November so I'm making them a priority.  Note that I have not made them in any order, so I still have about 10 more to make.

My card design was inspired by The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge:

I don't generally make square cards so I made mine rectangular and also flipped the corner embellishments to the opposite side.

The adorable and sweet mistletoe kitty is from my friend Kym at By Vintage Design,.  I inked around the image with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  I die-cut the image into a circle and mounted on a red glitter circle (both Die-mond Dies).  Following the sketch, I mounted the circle on a die-cut square of snowflake paper and then sheet music paper (both from Cosmo Cricket).

I used thin scraps of red glitter cardstock to make a frame according to the sketch and adhered some gold-coloured holly leaves (from my old Dollarama stash) at the corners, along with some red gems.  For my retro countdown number 23, I die-cut with a circle from a 6x6 Christmas paper pad (can't remember which pad I used, sorry).  Lastly I adhered a self-made sentiment (Microsoft Word).

I would also like to join the following 9 challenges, for a total of 10:
