Kiwi and Honeydew in a rare photo of them side by side RIP Kiwi (2004-2020) |
How did I get started? A friend asked me to do some stamping with her in 2005 - I had a lot of fun! A few months later I took some card-making courses given by the recreation department in a nearby town - I was hooked! It's so fulfilling for me to make cards - I get the pleasure of making the card, and the recipient gets the pleasure of receiving the card - it's a win-win! My favourite subject for my cards is cats, and my inspiration comes from my three kitties: Honeydew, Kiwi (RIP), and Snowie (RIP), and my beloved first kitty, Muffin (RIP).

How long have I been blogging? I started my blog on June 21, 2013, after being invited to join a design team. I enjoy making cards, and I love the inspiration I get from other bloggers. It's really been an uplifting experience for me, and I'm so glad I took the plunge to start a blog. I've met a number of wonderful crafters, some of whom I now call friends. Fellow bloggers have been so supportive - I love all the comments you write - thank you!
Why "KT Fit Kitty"? You might be wondering how I chose my blog name. Well... KT are my initials, Kitty is a nickname, and Fit Kitty is my user name on a fitness web site I used to frequent. Since I was already set up with the name Fit Kitty on Google and Gmail, I decided to stick with it.

Hi Kitty,
Your cats are lovely! We love cats too and my mum's blog is called kitten kraftz. Thankyou for joining my blog and for all your nice comments :) I wanted to follow you too but I am not on bloglovin and you dont have a blogger follower tab. If you can get one you will get even more followers.

Dear Kitty,
Thank you so much for the lovely comment you left on the OSAAT blog .... you've given me a big lump in my throat. Let me be honest with you, I don't make cards Kitty but my sister does which is how I have recently become involved with OSAAT as comments coordinator. I get so much pleasure from all the cards you talented ladies (and gentlemen) make .... oh, and I find myself looking out for your cards because they are always so special and such a joy to comment on. I am sorry to hear that you are looking for work after so many years but you are so talented that I would have thought you could make a new career out of your creativity. Good luck in all you do.
I'm in the process of creating a blog but my hobby is knitting so it's not really relevant to cards (yet) :-) I've called it Dropped Stitches but there are only 2 entries. Knitting is slow :-)

Your cats are so beautiful. My little dog, Katy, is my inspiration and the namesake of my blog, Katydid Cards. I know just how much you love your fur babies...as I love mine that much!
