Hello, everybody! First I would like to apologize for not visiting your blogs lately. I have not been online much; May has turned out to be a very hectic month. I will catch up with you soon, if I haven't done so already.
In the meantime, I just saw a fun challenge that I didn't want to miss! Allsorts Challenge is celebrating its 13th birthday! Woot, woot! Happy Birthday to Allsorts! Here's a card that I made a while back but did not have a chance to post on my blog until now.
This card is not my usual style but I do enjoy playing with my crafty products and oftentimes forget to post these cards on my blog. In this case I was experimenting with stamping on old book pages and paper tearing. This adorable raccoon stamp is from Carabelle Studios and I love all the detail in the image. Lately we've had a raccoon that has visited our yard! Yikes! I tore the edges of the old book page and layered it on some scraps of patterned paper, each of which I tore and inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I stamped a birthday greeting (The Old Island Stamp Company) onto a label (Nothing But Freebies) and adhered with foam tape. I chose this label for a pop of colour on this monochromatic card.

What a lovely card Kitty! I always think that racoons have such pretty little faces - they do look a little bit as if they're wearing small bandit masks over their eyes! Aw.
Lovely to see you in the Playground!

Thanks for bringing this brilliant piece of homework to the Snippets Playground. I’m mixing cocktails and trying out recipes for the forthcoming Jubilee party in the Playground - need verdicts on the results so come find me in the Treehouse bar!!! X
. . . and with my GD hat on - I just wanted to say thanks for joining in with the 13th birthday celebrations at Allsorts xxx
Hi dear Kitty! Hope that all is going well even if for you is a hectic May! I'm glad to see a new work from you and it's so beautiful too!! How cute and impressive card! Really it isn't your usual style but your talent shines however with this!! LOVE the raccoon, it's adorable and looks wonderful printed on a book page! Such clever choice! The torn edges look great, as well the gorgeous sentiment! Very well done!!
Sending big hugs and love!!
I love this stamped over the script. I never think to do that. It's perfect for a masculine card. I still have to work on my progressive cards, maybe I can squeeze one out quickly and join Allsorts. Lovely work.
What a fabulous card. LOVE the image, too. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Word Art Wednesday. I'm always so grateful to have you play along with us. Have a blessed week!
If you're interested in another brand-new challenge, you're most welcome to stop by Heart's Quest to share this. Becca is just getting her challenge blog going and I know she'd appreciate the support.

Super cute card, "not your usual style" was the first thing that came to my mind. That raccoon is so gorgeous and perfect in the monochromatic look.
