Coffee Birthday

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm interrupting my month of holiday cards to join the STAMPlorations Belated 6th Birthday Celebration!  Big congratulations to Shery Russ and STAMPlorations!  I wish you continued success!

I'm late to this party but definitely wanted to celebrate by making a birthday card!  I thought a coffee theme would be appropriate since STAMPlorations has a huge selection of coffee-themed products!

I die-cut the coffee cup (STAMPlorations Coffee Cup Silhouette Die - CUTplorations), first in brown cardstock and then in black craft foam.  I layered them to create a shadow.  Next I created the background with a coffee bean stencil (from the dollar store, I believe) and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.  I trimmed a thin strip off one of the edges of the stencilled panel and then adhered it near the bottom of the card.  I stamped the birthday sentiment (STAMPlorations Layered Watermelon) and then added the die-cut word (trimmed from STAMPlorations Warm Winter Wishes Phrase Die - CUTplorations). I die-cut it in brown cardstock and black craft foam, again to create a shadow effect.

Inspiration came from the following challenges and events:
Crafter's Castle AG 1/3 C10
Creatalicious AG Optional for a Man 2/3
Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop AG w Coffee, Tea, Cocoa,or Cider
Pammie's Inky Pinkies AG 1/3 C10
STAMPlorations 6th Birthday celebration 1/3
STAMPlorations November CAS Cards Optional Brown 1/3
STAMPlorations November Stencil AG w Stencil UE
STAMPlorations Never-ending Anything Goes UE

That little touch of the slender piece of card stock really sets the image and sentiment off.
