Recycling Old Christmas Cards

Hello, everyone! This is my second post today!  I have been inspired by the YouTube series by Crafting Vicky on recycling old Christmas cards.  Today I'm sharing three of the cards I made out of old cards that I've been saving.

I make a lot of cards for charities so I like to start early!  There are usually strict rules about no glitter, no embellishments, etc., so I've kept these guidelines in mind.  The children receiving the cards may have varying religious beliefs so these cards reflect that as well.

I'll share each card separately.  Products used are shown below.

Card #1
  • Image:  Recycled Christmas card
  • Clear stamp:  Sentiment (unmarked)
  • Ink:  Ancient Page Cardinal
  • Dies:  Nellie's Multiframe Circles, Gina Marie Designs Stitched Circles and Scalloped Stitched Circles
  • Embossing folder: Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow

Card #2
  • Image:  Recycled Christmas card
  • Clear stamp: Sentiment (unmarked)
  • Embossing folder:  Taylored Expressions Winter Flurry

Card #3
  • Image: Recycled Christmas tag
  • Clear stamps: Snowflake background (unmarked)
  • Rubber stamp:  Sentiment (Inkadinkado)
  • Ink:  Ancient Page Henna, Avery Elle Pure White
  • Die:  Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes
  • Other:  WRMK Corner Chomper

What a great way to recycle old cards! I mean to do that every year and then I forget to put the Christmas cards in my craft room and then my husband winds up throwing them out! Your cards look amazing and nobody would ever guess that they were recycled!

These are very sweet. I've tried recycling Christmas cards but I always feel like I'm cheating on all the stamps and supplies I have. I think you have the perfect mix of tools/supplies and already made card toppers.

Awesome to use the cards again, way to much is wasted. You did a wonderful job.
They look like new. Who can tell they are reused!
