Cards for Hug a Heart Card Drive

Hi, everyone!  I'm back!  Before I share my cards, I would like to say a big thank you to my sweet friends who checked on me! I'm feeling a bit better now and the computer is fixed again - for now! I'm slowly trying to get caught up with everything I missed, and I will eventually get around to visit your blogs!

Today I would like to share some cards I made for the Hug a Heart Card Drive.

Christina Hor is collecting handmade cards with a heart theme (non-Valentine’s Day) to distribute to children who are Heart Center patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The card drive runs from January 16 to February 14 and corresponds with Heart Month in February. I hope you will consider sharing your talents and make some cards to brighten a child's day! There are prizes too, so please check out all the details here.

I made a number of cards for this cause, so I will share a few at a time.

Card 1

I used some of my NBUS so I am joining Darnell's NBUS Challenge #9. The two dies (heart doily and stitched label) are both new in late 2016, and this is the first time I've used them. Here are the products used:
  • Digital image:  Love is in the Air by Katerinaart
  • Colouring medium:  Prismacolor pencils
  • Clear stamp: Sentiment (Your Next Stamp Summer Blossom Fluffy Kitten)
  • Dies: Heart (Crafter's Companion Die'sire Heart Doilies), Stitched Label (unmarked)
  • Other:  Heart punch (unmarked)

Challenges
With Card 1, I would like to support these five challenges:
  1. Crafty Calendar Something New 1/3 (two new dies: heart doily and stitched label)
  2. Darnell djkardcreations - NBUS Challenge #9 C5 1/3 (two NBUS dies: heart doily and stitched label)
  3. Lil Patch of Crafty Friends AG 1/3
  4. Love to Scrap AG 1/5
  5. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday AG 1/5

Cards 2 and 3

I made multiples of some cards, like this heart balloon kitty!  I stamped my own background paper with lots of hearts! Here are the products used:
  • Rubber stamps: Cat, hearts (All Night Media)
  • Clear stamp: Sentiment (Inkadinkado)
  • Die: Bow (unmarked)
  • Other:  Tag Punch (Marvy Uchida), heart punch (unmarked), heart ribbon and shiny fabric heart (old Dollarama stash), silver Pilot marker to outline tag

Challenges
With Cards 2 and 3, I would like to support the following challenges: 613 Avenue Create AG w Optional Totally Technical (my technique is stamped background) 1/8; Cardz TV AG Designer Challenge #1 1/3; Connie Can Crop AG 1/2; Crafty Creations AG 1/2; Creative Inspirations Cute Critters UE; DL.ART January Linky AG UE 1/d; Glitter N Sparkle Four-Legged Friends 1/3; Inky Chicks AG UE; Jo's Scrap Shack AG 1/3; Little Scrap Pieces Show it Off Saturday 1E; Mod Squad Show Your Love 1/3; One Crazy Stamper Live, Love, Laugh 1/5; Paper Creator's Crafts AG 1/3; Penny's Paper Crafty AG 1/3; Send a Smile 4 Kids AG 4 Kids 1/3; Stamped Blessings heARTful stamping Stamp Something Cute 1/2; SUYP Cats Only FG UE; The House That Stamps Built Repeat Impressions Anything Goes Challenge ~ J2517 1/3; The Ribbon Girl Any Image UE; Tuesday Morning Sketches UE; Tuesday Throwdown AG 1/3; Word Art Wednesday AG 1/5; Your Scrapbook Place AG 1/3

You have made some adorable cards for a right cause! So lovely from you! You are always so sweet! Love them so much! The heart balloon kitties look so cute and the shiny fabric heart is a fabulous detail! The first one has a great design with the doily heart that go out from the base and that little girl is so sweet! Adorable!
Big hugs and take care my friend!
