Rainy Days (Gerda Steiner image)

Hello, everyone!  Before I share my card, I would like to welcome two lovely new followers - (AJ) Art Jypsy and Becca Cruger - thank you for joining me! My card today features the freebie progressive challenge image from Gerda Steiner Designs called Rainy Days.  Such a cute image - thank you, Gerda!  I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils and combined it with a freebie sentiment from Create with TLC - thank you, Paulette!  It says, "Maybe I can't stop the downpour, but I will always join you for a walk in the rain."  I thought it went so well with the image.

I recently discovered The Outlawz Challenges, and I am slowly finding my way around their web site.  There is a fun colour challenge that started today and I wanted to play along!  Everyone over there is so friendly and supportive, and there's a big party going on right now, so why not head over and join in the fun!  

For my card, I kept it CAS.  I received this beautiful embossed panel from my friend Patti a while ago and I'm finally using it - I was waiting for the perfect image and this is it!  Thank you, Patti!  I added some lace (The Ribbon Girl) and a row of pearls from my stash along the edge, and some twine (My Craft Spot) and a single pearl on the embossed umbrella. Lastly I added some Glossy Accents to the water puddle and rain drops.
