Love Bug

Hi, everyone.  Here's a card I made a couple days ago and I'm finally getting a chance to post it. I used this cute little freebie Love Bug from The Doodle Garden.  I coloured him with my Prismacolor pencils and added orange Stickles to his heart antennae.

Deedee's Digis DT - Time with You

Hello, everyone.  Today I am sharing a card I just made for Deedee's Digis.  I love Deedee's adorable images and I think I picked a cutie today. Well, actually I used two of Deedee's images on this card: the clock and sentiment from Time with You and the kitty from Love One Another.

I used the pre-coloured digis this time.  Here are the two sets I used:

 

You can see that the original Time with You image has a cute bunny peeking from around the clock, but you know me - I wanted to see kitties LOL.  I did a bit of fussy-cutting and voila. Here are the other supplies used:

• Dies:  Memory Box Precious Hearts, Poppy Stamps Curious Cat
• Patterned paper:  Brown floral (Victoria and Albert Museum, London) and the rest is unmarked from my stash, probably Dollarama

My Word of the Year: Love

Hello, everyone, I'm back again today.  I've had enough of the sympathy cards and I wanted to make something cheerful.  Just look at these little cutie-pies - this image is called Spikey Friend and it's from one of my favourite artists, Diane Carubia of Di's Digistamps.  The thought bubble is from Squigglefly - it's a freebie over there and it was exactly what I was looking for here.  The word "love" inside the bubble is from Paper Smooches.

I coloured the image with my Prismacolor pencils, die-cut into a circle, and mounted on a heart-themed cupcake wrapper.  I added a number of glittery hearts, two heart charms, and some heart-themed ribbon, all from Dollarama.  The twine is from American Craft, and the polka-dot paper is from MME.

I made this card specifically for these three challenges:

1.  Berry71bleu One Little Word.  My word for 2014 is love - love of my family, my friends, my beautiful cats, and most of all myself - this is the difficult one, the one I struggle with, but I will be working on it in 2014, so thank you for the reminder.  UE C3

Sorry for Your Loss

Hi, everyone.  Nothing fancy today.  I made another sympathy card for my parent's card stash. No fun to make but much needed when the time comes. I think this will be the last one for now - Mom has just asked me for some thank-you cards so I'll be working on those next. Hoping to go visit them in the next couple weeks so I can give them all the cards I've made.

Today I used a scenic image from Delicious Doodles called Passage of Time. I thought this was appropriate for a sympathy card.  I printed it in sepia tones but it's hard to tell in this photo. The sentiment is a clear stamp from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings set (see image of stamp set below). I embossed the kraft panel with a new Cuttlebug folder my BF just gave me (thank you, Brian xo) called Forest Branches. I added a small triple-looped bow to finish it off.

Comfy Chair Kitty

Hi, everyone, I'm back today with a thank-you card.  This adorable kitty image is called Comfy Chair Kitty from Fresh Brewed Designs.  I coloured the kitty with my Prismacolor pencils and paper-pieced the comfy chair.  The "thank you" sentiment is a clear stamp from  Hero Arts Everyday Sayings set, and two of the digi papers are this month's challenge freebie from Trimgym's Digistamps, Papers, and Images.  The little clock image is from Tidbit's Trinkets.

Glitter n Sparkle DT - Bling it On

Hello, friends.  It's Sunday, and that means there's a new challenge starting today over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog.  This week's theme is Bling it On.  Come on over and join us!  I got an awesome image to play with this week - it's called Alice in Wonderland Cheshire Cat from The Stamping Boutique.

There's a lot going on in the image so I decided to keep my card CAS.  I coloured the image with my Prismacolor pencils, fussy-cut, and popped up with 3-D dots.  I also added googly eyes to bring out his purr-sonality LOL.  I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and added a number of sequins for the bling.

2 Christmas Cards

Hi, everyone.  I hope you are having a great day.  Today I am sharing two Christmas cards. I like to play along with Sarn in her Rudolph Day challenge over at Stamping for Pleasure, and she wants two Christmas cards from us this year, so that's why I'm including two cards in one blog post.  *** Scroll down to see Card #2 ***

Card #1
For my first card, I used this adorable image from Fresh Brewed Designs called Cat and Mouse Nap and I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils and added Stickles on the hats.  The sentiment is from Imagine That... digis by Kris from her "Jenn and Friends" set.  The ribbon is from Offray and the lacy ribbon is from May Arts.  I used Cuttlebug Snowflakes to emboss the white panel and added some gems from Simon Says Stamp.

Card #2
For my second card, I've used a freebie from Digi Stamps 4 Joy - they are having a new monthly progressive challenge this year for Christmas cards, and this lovely candle is the January image. I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils and added Stickles to the stars and berries.  The DP is from Lawn Fawn and the ribbon is from Offray, and I used my Fiskars lacy border punch.  The sentiment is a wood-mount from Plaid.
