Gingerbread Train

Hello, everyone.  Today I am sharing a card I made to play along in the progressive challenge over at Deedee's Digis.  I enjoy Deedee's images and challenges - and the best thing is that everyone who plays along gets next month's digi for free.  Deedee makes it easy to jump in at any time because December's Digi of the Month - Gingerbread Train - is on sale for only $1..25.  And it comes with two digital images (colour and non-colour) and three sentiments - what a deal!   I decided to use the pre-coloured version for a quick card.

I fussy-cut the train and the conductor, and added Stickles on the snowy part of the train.  I die-cut the sentiment into an oval with my Nellie's Multiframe Ovals.  The lacy ribbon is from May Arts, and the red ribbon is from Offray.  My glittery red paper is from Dollarama.  I followed this sketch at Bearly Mine:

We always went down to the Frieman's store window on Rideau street to see the magnificent window display.. I remember the wonder of the eclectic train winding it's way around. This card is as delightful. Thank you for joining us today at Word Art Wednesday with your fabulous art.

Wow, great card Kitty .....as soon as I saw it I was transported to a German Christmas Market that I experienced when my son was based in Germany a few years back. It was such a magical experience .....lots of stalls with beautifully iced gingerbread ....just like your image and all the lights twinkling everywhere which was as sparkling as your beautiful red papers. For me it was a wonderful experience and your card is wonderful too Kitty xxx ♥ Good luck in our challenge this week. Ingrid xx ( OSAAT Team )
