Hello, everyone.  A warm welcome to my brand-new followers - I hope everybody is having a great day!  Today I have made a thank-you card.  This sweet image is from a web site I just discovered - Newton's Nook Designs.   I just love their cute stamps - and there's a kitty on their logo - you all know how much I love kitties LOL.  They have a sketch challenge going on and luckily there are freebies so I can play along - why don't you  join me. 

Here's the sketch I followed:

 

I decided to paper-piece the bird and balloon to match my fish-tail banner.  The yellow polka-dot paper is freebie from Free Vintage Digital Stamps  (thank you).  I embossed the white panel with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.  The ribbon is from May Arts and Offray.  I added a little charm that says "Made with Love."  The thanks sentiment and yellow gems are from Dollarama.

Bird Gift

Hello, everyone.  A warm welcome to my newest followers.  Today I am sharing another Christmas card.  The image is called Yule Sparrow from Opal Manor, and it's a freebie that's still available here.  There's a Yule Challenge going on at Opal Manor but the challenge is "no colour red."  Come join me - there are plenty of freebies on their site to choose from.

I coloured the image with my Prismacolor pencils and added Stickles on the white part of his little hat.  This is the first time I have used my new Memory Box Snowflake Corner, which was given to me by my good friend Annie - thank you, my friend.  The Resting Birds are from Memory Box, and I used my Nellie's Multiframes Square to make the fishtail and tiny Rectangle to make the little sentiment tag.  The embossing folders are both from Couture Creations - Sugarplum Ball and A Songbird's Poinsettia.  The sentiment word "joy" is from Studio G.  The ribbon, gems, and snowflake are from Dollarama.  I used a sketch from i {heart} sketches - this is the first time I've played along there.

Teacup Kitty Birthday

Hello, everyone, I'm back again today with a birthday card.  The image I used is from Just Some Lines, and I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils.  I decoupaged the kitty's face and paws to give it a 3D look.

  

The beautiful flower is from Prima, which I won in some candy.  The leaves are stamped/cut with Cleary Besotted Leafy Accents stamp and die, and the sentiment is a wood-mount from StampCraft.  I added a little pawprint heart charm and a die-cut kitty.  Two of the cardstock panels are embossed (Cuttlebug Baby's Breath and Swiss Dots), and the turquoise cardstock is stamped repeatedly with a swirly stamp from Paper Pleasures.  The ribbon is from Offray, and the gems are from Studio G.  I added Stickles to the centers of the flowers, but it's hard to see.  Here's a close-up so you can see how the kitty is popped up.

Winter Wonderland Set

Hello, friends.  A special thank you and welcome to my newest followers.  Today I have made a set of CAS Christmas cards.

The image is called O Winter Trees from Gingerloft at the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet.  The sentiment is from Fresh Brewed Designs.  I printed the image and sentiment in three different colours and added glitter to the large tree.  I wish you could see the glitter - it isn't showing up very well in the photos. 

I added Offray ribbon and mounted the images with foam tape.  The embossing folders are Cuttlebug Snowflakes and Couture Creations Sugarplum Ball.  Here are photos of each individual card.

Reindeer Yummy Carrot

Hello, friends.  I'm back again today - I'm really on a roll with the Christmas cards - and yet I still have more to make.  The image I used here is called I Love Carrots from my new favourite designer, Lyn at Dragonsmoore - Spyder's Other Corner.  This naughty reindeer is so cute, and I laugh every time I look at the expression on his face.  That little snowman is not pleased that his nose has been eaten LOL. This image was actually a freebie at one point - each Wednesday Lyn has been providing a freebie at Spyder's Corner - you should check it out.  I'm particularly fond of her critters - they are so full of personality.  Now in case you're wondering - I don't have any affiliation with Lyn, other than I have fallen in love with her images. 

I coloured this with my Prismacolor pencils and added Stickles along the snow and snowman.  I added some red washi tape from Loblaw's.  The ribbon is May Arts and Offray.  I used my Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder.  The sentiment letters and gems are from Dollarama.  Kraft cardstock is Stampin' Up, and I used my new favourite sketch from Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:

Snowman Holiday Magic

Hello, everyone, I hope you are having a good day today.  A warm welcome to my newest followers.  Today I've made another Christmas card, and I seem to have a broken record because I am using the same sketch again LOL.

This cute little snowman image is from Gerda Steiner Designs and I just discovered Gerda's creations.  She has a freebie challenge too so I just couldn't resist.  I coloured the snowman with my Prismacolor pencils and added Stickles.  I probably should have waited for the Stickles to dry before I took the photo, oh well.  I embossed the background with Cuttlebug Snowflake.  The sentiment is a wood-mount from Plaid and I stamped it with Ancient Page Turquoise.  The washi tape is from Downtown Tape and Elmer's.  The ribbon is from May Arts and Offray.  The little snowman charm was in my stash.  I used my new favourite sketch from  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:

Stocking Mice

Hello, friends.  I've made another Christmas card.  These sweet little stocking mice are from Penny Black "The Wonder" clear stamps, and I coloured them with my Prismacolor pencils.  I also added Stickles on the green stocking.  The leaves are from Clearly Besotted Leafy Accents (stamps and dies), stamped in Ancient Page Pine. 

The sentiment is from Plaid and I stamped it with Stampin' Up Going Grey.  The embossing folder is from Couture Creations, the white ribbon is from May Arts, and the glittery ribbon is from Dollarama.  I followed the sketch at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:

Glitter n Sparkle Challenge - Show us Some Snow

Hello, friends.  There's a brand-new challenge starting today over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog.  This week's theme is a fun one:  Show us Some Snow.   I was excited to get my DT image, not only because it's so cute, but also because I have a young friend who loves ducks, so I already know who will be getting this card.  This digi is called Danny and Delilah's Sled Ride and it's from Inky Impressions, one of our generous sponsors.

Here's a close-up of the digi that I coloured with my Prismacolor pencils.  After the pic below was taken, I added Icicle Stickles to the snow and snowflakes.

I created a circle frame around the coloured image by inserting it into a CD envelope, which I sponged with turquoise ink (Ancient Page) and stamped repeatedly with a cluster of tiny snowflakes (source unknown).  For the base of the card I stamped two snowflakes (Inkadinkado, The Old Island Stamp Company) repeatedly on turquoise cardstock. 

The sentiment is a freebie from Desert Diva and I die-cut into an oval with my Nellie's Multiframes.  I used several other dies here too:  fawn (Marianne Design), snowflake sprig and Rizza snowflake (both Memory Box).  The dies were all birthday gifts last month from my BF Brian  - thank you!  The little snowman charm is from Stamp and Create.  The gem snowflakes are from Darice; the gems are from JoAnn's, and the ribbon, glittery tree, snowflakes, and "Holiday Cheer" brad are all from Dollarama.
