Jolly Snowman - Happy 2014

Hello, everyone.  A big, warm welcome my newest followers - it is so nice to have you here.  Today I am featuring an image from Dragonsmoore - Spyder's Other Corner called Jolly Snowman - isn't he just adorable!  I have two favourite digi designers - and Spyder is one of them.  Her images just make me smile, and I find them a joy to work with.  She has freebies every week at Spyder's Corner.  And don't forget - I am giving away some candy of Spyder's images tomorrow - January 1.  Two of my lucky followers will each win a prize of 3 digis - go here to enter.

On this card, I fussy-cut the snowman, coloured him with Prismacolor pencils, and added Diamond Stickles on the white parts of his hat.  For the sentiment I used a freebie from Delicious Doodles that you can find here.   I fussy-cut, coloured lightly with a brown Prismacolor pencil, and added Clear Liquid Embossing to give it some dimension.  I think it has a small crack though, oh well, maybe I put it on too thickly.  The patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn, and I embossed the white cardstock with Cuttlebug Snowflakes.  The deer die is from Marianne Design, and I added a glittery tree and two snowflakes with tiny pearls, all from Dollarama.  The ribbon is from Offray, and check out the triple- looped bow that I made with my brand-new Craft-Dee BowZ bow maker.  It was a gift from my lovely friend Debi - thank you, Debi - I love it!  Here's the sketch I followed from Seems a Little Sketchy:

Happy New Year Snowman

Hello, everyone.  Today I have made a Happy New Year card.  What a cute little snowman I used - he's called "For the Birds," and I purchased him from From the Heart Stamps so I could play along in their December Stamp of the Month Challenge - this is the first time I've participated.  It's a progressive challenge so anyone who plays along will get next month's digistamp for free.

Now I should admit that I only had to pay 25 cents for this image since I had a few discount coupons saved up from playing along in their i {heart} sketches challenges, which I also just discovered recently.  Any time you play along in their sketch challenge, you get a small coupon to use in their store, and you can also accumulate them, which is what I did.

I coloured the snowman with my Prismacolor pencils and added Diamond Stickles on his hat and body. I probably should have waited until the Stickles dried before taking the photo, oh well.  I used my Spellbinders Lacy Circle die and my Memory Box Precious Mittens - first time I've used this one I think, and I got it for my birthday in October.  The sentiment is a freebie from Desert Diva - thank you, Hannelie.  I embossed the kraft panel with Couture Creations "A Songbird's Poinsettia," and I added a few gems from Dollarama.  Here's the sketch I followed from Seems a Little Sketchy:

Guest Designer at SK Digis

Hello, everyone.  I am delighted to tell you that I am a Guest Designer at SK Digis this week.

You might wonder how I got such a fun gig....  Well, I was a Top 2 pick in one of Sonia's FANtastic Linking Parties last month, and part of the prize was to be a Guest Designer, so I really lucked out. Here's the card I made:

I got to pick any digi from SK Digis and I chose Snowman Boy - isn't he a cutie - I just love the adorable look on his face.  I had a lot of fun colouring him with my Prismacolor pencils.  I also added Diamond Stickles to his hat and white glitter on his body and along the snow.  Here are the other supplies I used:

Stocking Doll

Hello, everyone, I'm back today to share another Christmas card I made.  This time I used a freebie image from Just Some Lines (thank you). I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils, added Xmas Red Stickles along the stripe at the top of the stocking, and also added red gems on the holly berries.

The digi paper was a freebie from Trimgym's Digistamps, Papers, and Images (thank you, Jo).  I added two strips of Christmas washi tape (just found this at Dollarama yesterday - it was the last package and I got it - yay!) along with two die-cut kitties using my Poppy Stamps dies.  The sentiment is a wood-mount from Plaid.  The poinsettia is from Dollarama, as are the three red snowflake stickers on the right.  I placed them there in conjunction with this sketch from Sketch 'n' Stash:

Glitter n Sparkle Challenge - Use Your Favourite Digi

Hello, my friends.  It's Sunday, and that means there's a new challenge starting today over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog.  This week's theme is Use Your Favourite Digi. Isn't this a fun theme - please come play along with us - we always have great prizes to be awarded, and this week is no exception - see prizes listed below.

I actually did use my favourite digi for this card.  I chose one of my own images from Di's Digistamps - I have two favourite digi designers, and Diane Carubia is one of them.  I just discovered Di's Digistamps a few weeks ago and now I'm hooked.  This cute image is called Kitty Kiss and I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils.  I used Diamond Stickles on kitty's hat and along the snow and rounded the corners to give it a softer look.  I added three tiny pearls on the mistletoe.  

The image was mounted on some sparkly silver foam (Dollarama) and I embellished with a candy-cane charm from my stash.  I added red stripes to the candy cane with a red Promarker.  The ribbon is from Offray, and the red glittery fish-tail strip is actually ribbon that I bought at Dollarama.  The sentiment is a clear stamp from Penny Black. I embossed the white cardstock panel with Couture Creations Sugarplum Ball.  The sketch I followed is from MFP Speedy TV:

Sledding Hedgies

Hello, everyone.  I'm back again tonight with another Christmas card.  This stamp is from Penny Black's "Chrismas Critters" set of clear stamps.  I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils and added Diamond Stickles to their hats and along the snow.

The glittery red paper is from Dollarama, as are the gems and snowflake.  I made the fishtail using my Nellie's Multiframes Squares die, and the white panel is embossed with Cuttlebug Snowflakes.  I followed this sketch from MFP Speedy TV:
