Faux Envelope Card

For my Tuesday Morning Sketches DT card, click here.

Hello, everyone!  My holiday cards continue!  For this one I made a faux envelope design!

I started with the patterned paper (EnoGreeting Christmas Collection) and mounted it on green and then red cardstock.  Next I adhered a faux robin postage stamp (Gecko Galz Altered Christmas Digital Collage Sheet).  Then I adhered label and greeting die-cuts from my old stash, and a cute vintage snowman (Gecko Galz Frosty Digital Collage Sheet).  To finish off my card, I stamped the vintage postmark and elf delivery greeting (stamp set free with magazine) and Special Delivery notation (The Artistic Stamper Carte Postale).

I would like to support the following challenges: ABC Christmas X for fauX (faux envelope, faux postage stamp) UE: Beccy's Place - Month of Holiday Cards I'm revisiting "H" for Happy Holidays UE: Cardz TV 102 AG 3/3; Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional Use Glitter UE;Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper November UE; Cupcake Inspirations Snowman 1/3; Cute Card Thursday Festive UE; DL.ART November Linky UE 1/d; Double D What is Your Christmas Style (for this card, Vintage) 1/3; Dragonfly Dreams Christmas/ Winter UE; Gecko Galz Peace on Earth Customer Challenge UE; Gecko Galz Facebook Group Winter Holidays UE; Gecko Galz Facebook Group Autumn Colours - see graphic below UE; The Outlawz Festive Friday Christmas UE; Winter Wonderland Use Holly and/or Ivy 2/3 (see postage stamp); Word Art Wednesday 414-415 AG w Uplifting Sentiment wk1 1/5

Concertina Garden Thank You

For my Tuesday Morning Sketches DT post, click here.

Hello, everyone!  I'm back this evening to share a Concertina Garden thank-you card!  Thanksgiving is fast approaching in the U.S., and we've already had our Thanksgiving here in Canada last month.  I believe in giving thanks all year long, so I made this card for my parents!  I love how it turned out!

I was inspired by Sam at Mixed Up Craft - here is her video tutorial.  I fussy-cut all of the flowers, leaves, and critters - it took some time but I think it was worth it! When open, this is a very large card; each of the four panels is just under 5.5", but it folds up and fits in a 6" x 6" envelope. I went with mostly fall colours and fall critters.

Here are close-ups of each of the four panels:

I used several dies:  fence from Impression Obsession, grass from Lawn Fawn, and thank you from Spellbinders.  The flowers and leaves are free digitals from Free Pretty Things for You, Pretty Little Lines, and Cheyokota.  The animals and creatures are free digitals from Free Design Club.

I was also inspired by the following challenges: A Perfect Time to Craft AG UE; Artsystamper Digitals 4 Give Thanks 1/3; Arty Divas AG 1/5; Aud Sentiments Thank You Sentiment 1/5; Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards I'm jumping ahead to "T" for Thanksgiving UE; Butterfly Challenge P for Peach plus Butterfly 1/3; Crafty Gals Corner Anything Fall Goes 1/3; Dare 2B Artzy Thankful 1/3; Die Cut Divas Thanksgiving or Thank You 1/4; DL.ART Thankful Thursday Thankful 1/3; Jan's Digi Stamps AG 2/5; Kat Scrappiness Let's Give Thanks UE; Let's Craft and Create AG Optional Thank You; Little Patch of Crafty Friends AG 3/3; Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Thank You/ Thanksgiving 1/5; The Outlawz Festive Friday AG - Thanksgiving UE; The Paper Funday AG Thanksgiving 1/4;Through the Craft Room Door AG 1/2

Let it Snow - TMS 530

Hello, everybody!  We have a new sketch for you at Tuesday Morning Sketches!  I really enjoyed this week's sketch and I hope you will too!  Please check out the TMS challenge blog to see what my talented teammates have made!   I am still making winter holiday cards!

I seem to collect deer dies, and this is a fun one! For the circle behind the die-cut, I went with one of my favourite techniques - Distress Oxides on photo paper. I layered several blues using the watercolour ink-smooshing technique and then dried in between each colour. It's best to work from lightest colour to darkest, but I didn't. When finished, it had a dull appearance but when wiped with a baby wipe, it became vibrant like you see here. I first saw this technique on a video here.

For the background of my card, I used scraps from three different snowflake embossing folders (Taylored Expressions Winter Flurry, Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow, and Darice Snowflake Background).  The sentiment (Hero Arts) is stamped with Memento Danube Blue, and I finished off the card with three white snowflake sequins.

Here's this week's sketch, created by Andrea - Sketch 530.  I look forward to seeing what you make!

Vintage Skating Kitties - Better Not Pout

Hi, everyone! I have another winter holiday card to share! As usual, I've been inspired by challenges around blog-land!

The funny vintage skating cats are from Gecko Galz - Hello Kitties Digital Collage Sheet, and the sentiment is from Gecko Galz - Christmas Words Digital Collage Sheet.  I made a little scene with a stitched snowy landscape (Poppystamps), some trees (unknown), and a cute chipmunk (Cheery Lynn).  I think the cats are looking at the chipmunk!  The patterned paper is from MME Winter Wonderland and I finished off the card with three green snowflake sequins.

Card Using Scraps

Hi, everyone!  Today I am sharing a card inspired by Karen at My Cup Runneth Over!  She was the guest designer over at Pixie's Snippet Playground and I fell in love with her card, which is such a fun way to use up those small scraps of patterned paper!  Here's my version:

I had some leftovers from my Set of 4 Panel Fold Cards that I shared a couple days ago.  The papers are Woodland Christmas from We Are 3 Digital Shop. I hand-cut a banner edge on each scrap and layered them across the card.  I fussy-cut the deer from the digital paper and then hand-cut a snowbank from a white cardstock scrap.  The background paper is from the same set.  I stamped a sentiment in black and added three punched snowflakes (Recollections punch).

I would like to support the following challenges:  A Perfect Time to Craft AG UE; Beccy's Place - Month of Holiday Cards I'm jumping ahead to "O" for Outdoors; Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional Use Some Glitter UE; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper November UE; Cute Card Thursday Festive UE; DL.ART November Linky UE 1/d; Dragonfly Dreams Christmas/Winter UE; Little Patch of Crafty Friends AG 1/3; The Outlawz Festive Friday Christmas UE; Word Art Wednesday 412-413 AG w Uplifting Sentiment wk1 4/5

'Tis the Season

Hello, everybody!  This month I am making a lot of winter and holiday cards!  A big inspiration for me has been Beccy's Place and her Month of Holiday Cards!  The annual challenge always inspires me - thank you, Beccy!  This is her 7th year and I'm hoping we can beat the record 864 entries she had last year!  If you're not playing along, why not go check it out!  It's an Alphabet Challenge and I'm doing Day 11 - "I" for Ice!

This sweet image is digital clipart from TheDigitalChick on Etsy. I've been using a lot of these for my cards this month!  I love this retro-style kitty - he looks so cute and reminds me of a storybook from my childhood!  Ooops, the skating kitty has slipped on the ice!  I fussy-cut the fallen kitty and popped him up on foam tape.  The square scene background behind the kitty is from The Paper Shelter - Holy Night, and the sentiment is from Deedee's Digis. I used a couple of dies here from Memory BoxStitched Tree Horizon, as well as the offcut snowflakes from Snowy Scene. The patterned paper is from MME Winter Wonderland.

I would also like to support the following challenges: Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional Use Some Glitter UE; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper November UE; Creative Fingers AG 2/3; DL.ART November Linky UE 1/d; Gem of a Challenge AG 3/3; Outside the Box - Memory Box Challenge 55 - Patterned Paper 1E; Penny's Paper-crafty 456 AG 2/3; Show Us Your Pussycats Furrything Goes UE; The Outlawz Festive Friday Christmas UE The Paper Shelter 406 Christmas Spirit 1/3; Wednesday's Creative Inspirations Winter Blues UE; Word Art Wednesday 412-413 AG w Uplifting Sentiment wk1 3/5

Set of 4 Panel Fold Cards

Hi, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a set of 4 Panel Fold Cards!  I tried a new-to-me card style!  I used an awesome set of digitals that I won recently from We Are 3 Digital Shop - thank you, Bonnie!  The adorable precoloured printable animal images are called Woodland Hearts, and the gorgeous papers are Woodland Christmas.

My panel fold cards were inspired by Sam at Mixed Up Craft - here is her video tutorial.  Her cards are larger so I resized mine to A2 and figured out my own measurements. I embellished all with some punched snowflakes (Recollections punch).  Here are photos of each card individually:
