Peeking Gingerbread Kids

Hello, everyone, and Happy New Year!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Wendy Batchen - thank you for joining me!

Today I'm sharing a gingerbread card!  I love making them so much and it seems I did not get enough of them in December!  Gingerbreads make me happy, perhaps a fun memory from my childhood!  For this card I used the adorable Peeking Gingerbread Kids from Digi Doodle Studios.  I coloured these cuties with markers, added accents with a white paint marker, and fussy-cut so I could pop them up on foam tape.  The stamped sentiment is from Your Next Stamp Christmas Cookie.

I continue to tackle my pile of patterned paper scraps/snippets and today I have used lots of them, along with some glitter scraps.  I also used a scrap of coffee-themed paper (Your Next Stamp Crazy for Coffee) and a leftover Ric Rac Border die-cut (Your Next Stamp) that went unused from last month.  The snowflake embossed white panel was also a leftover from December (Taylored Expressions Winter Flurry).  I finished the card by adhering three red snowflake sequins.

I was inspired by the following 10 challenges:
ABC Christmas A for Anything Christmas UE
Caffeinated Christmas Cards 1 Snowflakes plus Coffee/Tea UE

Crafts Galore Encore January AG 1/3
Digi Doodle Studios Facebook Group AG w DDS images
Digi Doodle Studios Challenge Blog 45 Be Happy and/or Your Favourite Thing 1/3 (I love gingerbreads, the colour red, glitter, and making Christmas cards)
Snippets Playground 419 Scraps/Snippets (everything on this card was a scrap/snippet) 1E C10

Word Art Wednesday 525-526 AG w Uplifting Sentiment Wk2 1/5
Your Next Stamp 175 Inspiration Photo (my patterned paper stripes were inspired by the stack of books) 1/3

Thank you for looking at my card! Wishing you a joy-filled day!

I love ❤️ the diagonally strips of paper and not just because you are using scraps. I’ve used scraps and they didn’t have as much cohesiveness. These papers you used look great together.
