TMS 554 - Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hi, everyone!  It's Tuesday already!  That means we have a brand-new sketch for you at Tuesday Morning Sketches! I decided to make a winter holiday card.  My goal this month is to make three, and this is my second one. All of the stamps are from Your Next Stamp.

My card began with the background.  I decided to make my own background paper by heat-embossing a bunch of small holiday stamps in white on kraft cardstock. I layered this panel onto a white card base.

I stamped, coloured, and fussy-cut the bunny gingerbread image so I could pop it up on foam tape. I added Star Dust Stickles to the gingerbread's cap.  Behind the image I layered a mini doily and behind that is a stitched vellum rectangle. I stamped the sentiment on a red scrap and then punched three snowflakes from the same scrap.

Clear stamps: Your Next Stamp (image and sentiment from YNS Christmas Cookie, tiny stamps on background from YNS Snowfall, YNS Waddles Holiday Food Truck, YNS Christmas Morning, YNS Sprinkles Happy Holiday, YNS Sweet Holiday Greetings)
Die: Gina Marie Designs Stitched Rectangle
Punch: Recollections Small Snowflake
Other:  Doodlebug Mini Doily

Here's our Sketch 554, designed by Debbie. I'm looking forward to seeing what you make!

I always think of embossing as a main feature of a card. For you to use it with small stamps to create a background is clever! Great idea that I must imitate. The layer of the doily is subtle but effective. The image of the bunny with a gingerbread man is adorable. You made a wonderful card.
