Silhouette Stamping Bauble

Hello, everyone!  Happy December!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome two new followers - Alyson Mayo and Linda S - thank you for joining me!

Today I am sharing a card that was inspired by Sam at Mixed Up Craft - here is her video tutorial.  I was also inspired by Alyson's card here.

First I die-cut a circle (Nellie's Multiframe Circles) from masking paper and applied the mask to my card.  I inked around the inside of the circle with Broken China Distress Oxide.  I hand-cut a snowy hill mask and did some inking there as well.  Keeping the masks in place, I stamped the tree (free with magazine) using second-generation stamping and then stamped the bunnies and birds (Newton's Nook Serene Silhouettes).  I removed the mask and applied glitter around the circle, the snowy hill, and under the bunnies.  I die-cut an ornament top (Elizabeth Craft) from a scrap of silver glitter cardstock (Dollarama) and stamped the sentiment (Penny Black).  Using a black fineliner and a ruler, I drew the ornament string.  Lastly I die-cut the white panel with a stitched rectangle (Gina Marie Designs) and adhered to a black panel and then to a white card base.

This card was fun to make and I love how it turned out!  The hardest part was finding silhouette stamps tiny enough to fit inside the bauble.  I want to make more of these!  I'm going to keep looking through my stash for tiny silhouette stamps!

One final card in the last minutes of the Month of Holiday Cards challenge over at Beccy's Place. I've had so much fun all month and was able to make a lot of cards - thank you, Beccy, for the awesome inspiration! For the final day, the challenge is to do what we love! I love animals, and I love winter scenes!

This is so beautiful Kitty, I absolutely love it. Such a clever idea to use a mask to create the bauble, and then a snowy hill inside that. The second generation stamping has created an amazing forest that stretches back into the distance. I just love how dimensional this looks. I have saved your beautiful card to my inspiration folder... I think it's fantastic!
Cheers,
Beccy
