Cold Hands Warm Hearts

Hi, everyone!  Today I have two winter holiday cards to share!  I've been having fun with non-traditional colours lately!  As mentioned in an earlier post, I'm working ahead to make my holiday cards, hoping to avoid the time crunch in November!  Here's the first card and I'll be right back with my second one.

I'm sharing this card first, but it's actually the second card I made, using the leftovers from this card.  I paper-pieced the leftovers from my red/pink alcohol ink background into a white die-cut. For the kitty, I kept the colouring to a minimum so it wouldn't compete with the vibrant background.  Instead I doodled a checked pattern on her dress and added dots to her mittens and pocket.  I adhered the kitty with foam tape on a vellum heart die-cut.  The sentiment was heat-embossed in white on a black scrap. I finished off the card by adding lots of snowflake sequins.

Digital image:  Robyn's Fetish My Mittens (sorry this company is no longer in business)
Clear stamp:  Sentiment (Joy Clair Cozy Snowman Wishes)
Inks:  Background (Ranger Alcohol Inks in reds, pinks, purples), sentiment (Versamark)
Dies:  Lil Inker Designs Center Point Chevron Cover-up, Gina Marie Designs Stitched Scalloped Heart
Other:  Ranger white embossing powder, Pilot Fineliner for doodling, holographic silver snowflake sequins

I was inspired by the following 10 challenges:
ABC Christmas A for Anything Christmas Goes UE
Crafter's Castle 13 AG Optional Fun Technique (alcohol ink background, paper-piecing, doodling patterns on image) 3/4 C10
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas AG Optional Add a Sentiment UE
Creatalicious AG Optional Winter Fun UE
Creative with Stamps 34 Mittens (see required graphic below) 3/3 C11
CropStop Final Link Party AG with products from CropStop (used Ranger alcohol inks) 1/5
Double Trouble 19 Thing 1 (warm and cozy theme with image on patterned or embossed background - I made my own patterned background), Thing 2 (favourite things mittens and kitten; if using mittens join Creative with Stamps), Thing 3 (mittens and kitten) 3/4
Pixie's Snippet Playground 344 I used leftover snippets from this card 1E

Thank you for looking at my card! Wishing you a joyful day!
