Underwater Scene (Knitty Kitty DT)

Hello, everyone! Before I share my card, I would like to welcome my three new followers - Akshma Aksh, Leanne, and riliska1 - thank you for joining me!

I just realized that I now have 400 followers - Yay!  I guess you know what that means!  Yes, that's right!  Candy!  I'll start putting something together but I'll wait until I have reached 401. Sometimes I lose followers (yes, it's true; sad face) so I won't celebrate until I've surpassed 400 (happy face)!  So stay tuned!

Today I'm sharing another underwater scene card! This time I have combined my love of the ocean with my love of cats!  This adorable image from Knitty Kitty Digis is called Deep Sea Diver.  I fell in love with this one the moment I saw it - it's so unusual - I don't believe I've seen another underwater cat image or stamp anywhere! Did you notice... he has a fish hook on his tail so he's trying to catch his dinner!  So cute!

I had a lot of fun colouring this image with Prismacolor pencils. I sponged Tumbled Glass Distress Ink around kitty to represent the ocean. I added clear Wink of Stella and then Glossy Accents to kitty's diving mask and also some white gel pen to the air bubbles.

To create my scene, I used a lot of die-cuts: Gina Marie Designs Stitched Circle, Seaweed, Anchor; Taylored Expressions Build a Scene Underwater; Memory Box Loopy Rings; and Lawn Fawn Stitched Landscapes. The ocean-patterned paper is from a MAMBI kit that I found at Dollarama earlier this year/last year.  As for the awesome sand-patterned paper, I searched my stash and found some leftover scraps - this paper is at least 10 years old!  The cute fish stickers and charms were also in my old stash! Lastly, the ticket sentiment is from Digital Delights Ticket Sentiments.
