Panda

Hi. everyone!  I am still on the Asian-themed cards, and this time I made a masculine card featuring a panda.  I got the beautiful image from Tidbits Trinkets Images and then coloured with my Prismacolor pencils.

Maneki-neko - Lucky Cat

Hello, everybody.  Before I share my card, I would like to welcome to my newest follower, Heather Johnson - so lovely to have you here!  For the past couple weeks I have been enthralled by the Oriental Sketch Challenges over at MFP Speedy TV, and this week there's an Oriental challenge at Allsorts, so I was inspired to make another Asian-themed card.  This time I decided to use the maneki-neko also known as Lucky Cat.  I found the image at Pubzi.com and coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils.  Every time I see a Lucky Cat, I have to smile - they are so cute!

The beautiful Asian papers are from Baer Studio Design, and the Asian word-art stamp is an older wood-mount from Paper Pleasures that I stamped in black on some textured red paper I had in my stash. I used my Marvy Uchida circle punch and a Nellie's Multiframe Circle for the sentiment.  I used my Memory Box butterfly die and heat-embossed the die cut with glittery gold embossing powder (The Artful Stamper - Egyptian Gold).  The black gems are from Dollarama.

Glitter n Sparkle DT - Add Some Ribbon

Hello, everyone.  Can you believe it's Sunday already!  That means there's a new challenge starting today over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog.  This week we would like you to Add Some Ribbon.  Check out the adorable image I got to play with for our challenge.  It's called Stitchy Kats from Ike's Art.  I decided to paper-piece the kitties so I printed them on the polka-dot paper and then coloured parts of the image with my Prismacolor pencils.

All Dies, No Stamps

Hi, everyone! Welcome to my two newest followers, Pauline and Cindy, so nice to see you here! Today I am sharing something completely different - a card made with all dies, no stamps!  First time ever! I was inspired by the "Out of the Box" challenge over at the Impression Obsession's IO Blog.  This is definitely outside of my box!

I used all Impression Obsession dies on this card:

• Birch Trees DIE079-U
• Deer Trio DIE080-N

To create the snow, I tore several scraps of white cardstock and added lots of glitter (Stampendous Crystal Snow - White), which I also added along the sides of the birch trees.

Deedee's Digis DT - Let it Snow (2 cards)

Hello, everybody.  A very warm welcome to my two newest followers, Carol and Jo - thank you for following me!  Today I would like to share two cards featuring an adorable set from Deedee's Digis called Let it Snow.

For my first card (above), I coloured the image with my Prismacolor pencils and added Stickles all along the snow.  For my second card (below), I used the pre-coloured image and again added Stickles all along the snow.

Chinese Happiness Wish (Hero Arts stamp)

Hi, everyone, I'm back again today with something completely different for me!  But first let me welcome my newest follower, Bad Kitty - I love your name and I'm so glad you joined me!

Today I have used no kitties and have done no colouring. I used only one stamp - Hero Arts Chinese Happiness Wish from their Chinese Wishes set - I've had this set for years and (hanging my head) have never used any of them.  I have been inspired by MFP's Oriental Sketch Challenge to dust off my neglected Asian-themed stamps and papers again.  I stamped the sentiment in brown, layered with brown cardstock, and popped up with 3-D dots.  Then I layered the patterned paper according to the sketch shown below.

Glitter n Sparkle DT - Easter Cards/Spring Colours

Hello, everyone.  It's Sunday and that means there's a new challenge starting today over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog.  Our theme this week is Easter Cards/Spring Colours.  I decided to use the Easter theme and make a card for a boy.  My cute image today is called Cool Cat with Shades from Eureka Stamps, and I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils.  I thought this image was perfect for a boy's card.  I tried to keep the colours masculine, but of course I always have to sneak in a little pink LOL.

I also received a sentiment to go along with the Cool Cat image, which I used for the inside of my card.  It's called Being Cool from Eureka Stamps.  Here's the inside:
