Possibili-Tea

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a card for the August Progressive Freebie Challenge at The Outlawz.  Because I participated last month, I received this month's image for free:  It's Tea Time from The Paper Shelter (thank you!).

For this card I used the precoloured version.  I fussy-cut the image and added Glossy Accents to the clocks, cup, and goggles.  I adhered the image to the background provided using foam tape and then adhered the background to a lace border and then to an embossed panel.  I printed a digital sentment on kraft cardstock and die-cut with a stitched tag, tied with baker's twine. For a close-up, see photo below. I punched two sizes of butterflies and added gems to the bodies.  I finished off the card by adding gems to the four corners of the background.

Have a Mice Holiday Season

Hello, everybody!  Long time, no see!  I'm popping in today to share a winter holiday card.  I haven't been crafting or blogging much lately, but I like to work on my goal of making two holiday cards each month.

Take a look at these adorable skating mice!  I coloured them with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop them up on foam tape.  I also added Star Dust Stickles to the fur trim on their jackets and skates.
.

I recently won a prize from Polka Dot Orchard, and this Merry ChristMouse digital stamp set is one of the items I chose.  Thank you, Jessica!  The mice are so cute; I just couldn't resist!

My card began with a Distress Oxide background (Tumbled Glass) using the ink-smooshing technique. The die I used had two deer at the bottom so I trimmed them off to leave an open space as a skating pond for the mice.  I filled in the area with Glossy Accents to simulate ice. You can see it better in the photo below.  The sentiment is from the same digital set and I printed it in white letters on black.  I finished off the card by adhering a few red snowflake sequins.
