Gift Stack Teddy Bear

Hello, everyone!  This is my last Christmas card for the year!  That being said, I'll be making more in January because I have a goal to make two Christmas cards each month (whether I want to or not hehe!).

 

My card today was made for the Stamp of the Month challenge at From the Heart Stamps. This image is called Gift Stack Teddy Bear, and I received this digi for free since I joined their challenge last month.

I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and fussy-cut. The background was embossed with Couture Creations Joyful Christmas. I heat-embossed a sentiment from Poppystamps Cup of Cheer in white on a black scrap and then hand-cut into a banner shape.  I added Xmas Red Stickles to the heart. I die-cut polka-dot vellum with My Creative Time Bunch of Fun Circles and adhered the image and sentiment according to the sketch at From the Heart Stamps - I {heart} sketches #132 shown here:

Skating Penguin Snow Globe

Hello, everyone!  Today I am sharing another snow globe.  I made a number of these for gifts so I will be sharing them over the next week or so. 

The cute penguin is from Bugaboo Digi Stamps called Little Penguin Winter - Skate. I coloured him with Prismacolor pencils. I made the background with Distress Inks, splattered with water, and then added Liquid Pearls to look like snowfall.  The snowy landscape is from Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes.

Kitty Snow Globe

Hello, everyone!  Today I am sharing a sweet snow globe.  I made a number of these for gifts this year so I will be sharing them over the next week or so.

The cute kitty is a 2006 wood-mounted rubber stamp from Stampendous called Snow Buddies - Christmas Kitty.  I coloured her with Prismacolor pencils and added Elizabeth Crafts Warm Diamond glitter on the white parts of her hat. I made the background with Evergreen Bough and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks, splattered with water, and then added Liquid Pearls to look like snowfall.  The snowy landscape is from Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes.

Shaker Bauble with Chippies

Hello, everyone! I hope you've had a wonderful day today! I had to wait until Christmas was over to share the little shaker bauble I made!  I just love how this turned out!

The little chippies and cocoa mug are from Poppystamps Cup of Cheer, and I coloured them with Prismacolor pencils.  The chippies were cut with the coordinating die and I fussy-cut the mug. The background is die-cut with Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrop, and I used Lawn Fawn's Forest Border and Stitched Hillside Borders as well.  I added SU Dazzling Diamond glitter along the snowy landscape and trees to add some sparkle.

I bought the bauble at Dollarama (set of 4) and I used just half of one and mounted it to a die-cut wavy circle (My Creative Time).  Inside the bauble is vase filler, which I also found at Dollarama - it looks just like little ice cubes!  The half-bauble is tied with silver twine, all ready to hang on the tree!

This is the last appearance of the year for my little elf Eli!  He is heading back to the North Pole today to meet up with his new BFF Loopy!  He wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  Eli would like to link up over at DL.ART's Third Annual Elf Antics Linky one final time, but he'll be back next year!

Eli's Close Call

Hello, everyone!  Happy Christmas Eve Day!  No card to share today but Eli the elf wants to show off his adventures in trying to befriend my big kitty Honeydew.  I have been hesitant to share these photos. It did not go as well as I had hoped. Warning: Sensitive viewers and small children should look away! But remember - it all has a happy ending! Eli is okay and he has learned a valuable lesson (the hard way!).

It started out as a courteous exchange of pleasantries between cat and elf.

Next a little sniffing - this is when Honeydew realizes that Eli is the size of the toy mouse he likes to play with.

Eli has been caught in Honeydew's grip!  However, you can see here that Honeydew's claws have been trimmed so they are not sharp. Eli is not in any danger! He is lying still, waiting to make his move...

Success!  Eli later subdues Honeydew and rides on his back!  

The next exchange between Eli and Honeydew was a bit more frightening... the photos will speak for themselves...

In the end, Eli has won over Honeydew with his elf charm (for the moment)!  They may never be "friends" but they have an understanding.  The understanding is that Eli will steer clear of Honeydew!  Eli has learned a valuable lesson! The moral of the story is: If it's furry and purr-y, be ready to scurry!

Die-cut Christmas Kitty

Hello, everyone! Before I share my card, I would like to welcome two new followers - Ryoma Sakamoto, JAPAN and Sierra Winters - thank you for joining me! Today I'm sharing a Christmas card I made for a friend using Frantic Stamper Cat Card Maker. I had fun die-cutting all the pieces and making the kitty look like my friend's kitty!

For the little white tuft at the bib, I used a die from Marianne Designs Cat Collectables Set.  The patterned paper is from MAMBI.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, which I die-cut into a stitched tag (La -La-Land Crafts) and tied with baker's twine.  Lastly I added some holly leaves and red sequins for a little sparkle.

My elf Eli is so excited! Just one more sleep until his favourite night of the year - Christmas Eve! Here's the calendar Eli has been using to count the days! Warm Wishes Reindeer

Hi, everybody!  Today I am sharing the final CAS card of the set of four that I made. I shared the first three here, here, and here.

This cute little reindeer cocoa image is from Diddybag. I like to use pre-coloured images when I have a lot of cards to make!  All I did was print, fussy-cut, and add some clear Wink of Stella over the reindeer's antlers and hoofs.  He's also popped up on foam tape. Great for a quick card!

The embossing folder is Taylored Expressions Winter Flurry, and the cute sentiment is Poppystamps - You Melt My Heart. I embellished with three clear dew drops.

My elf Eli continues his antics at the local post office! We ended up spending quite a bit of time there while Eli made the rounds to meet his new friends. Here he decided to take a ride on the reindeer - it was just the right size for Eli!  No wonder he didn't want to come home - he had so much fun there! The postmistress enjoyed Eli very much!
