2 Cards: Xmas Dragon and Xmas Kitty

Hi, everyone.  I hope you are having a great day.  I took some time out of my packing and organizing to make a couple of Christmas cards.  I am sharing both cards in one blog post because Sarn has requested this for her Rudolph Day challenge over at Stamping for Pleasure.  *** Scroll down to see Card #2 ***

Card #1
For my first card, I used this adorable image from Fresh Brewed Designs called Little Kitten and I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils and added a cute little Santa hat.  The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Impression Obsession. The backing paper is actually some wrapping paper from a Christmas gift that I couldn't bare to throw away - I love the holographic sparkle.  Lastly I added ribbon and bow.

Card #2

For my second card, I've used a freebie from Digi Stamps 4 Joy - they are having a monthly progressive challenge this year for Christmas cards, and this cute dragon is the February image. I coloured it with my Prismacolor pencils, fussy-cut, and added Stickles to the hat.  The DP is from Lawn Fawn, and the sentiment is a wood-mount from Plaid.  I added some rikrak, sequins, and metallic trees and reindeer.

Glitter n Sparkle DT - Bright, Funky Colours

Hello, everybody.  It's Sunday, so that means there's a new challenge starting today over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog.  This week we want to see Bright, Funky Colours.  Just look at the adorable kitty image I got to play with.  Isn't she sweet!  She's called Swan Lake Ballerina Kitten by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff at Aurora Wings.  If you haven't checked out Aurora Wings, you don't know what you're missing.  Mitzi has so many beautiful, detailed digi stamps in her store - go have a look - I know you will see something you like!

I coloured the image with my Prismacolor pencils and fussy-cut.  I used several dies on this card:  Small Butterfly from Elizabeth Craft Designs, Allegro Corner from Simon Says Stamp, Nottingham Border from Memory Box, and oval and decorative oval from Nellie's Multi-Frames.  I used my new One World embossing folder from Couture Creations, and the sentiment is from Doodle Pantry.  I added a number of pearls as accents.

Deedee's Digis DT - Rainy Day

Hello, everyone.  Today I am sharing a card I just made with one of the adorable sets at Deedee's Digis.  This sweet duck and sentiment are from the Rainy Day set (shown below).

I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and paper-pieced the umbrella and boots.  The section of the DP on the umbrella was a bit plain - you could only see one flower LOL - so I stamped a few more small flowers in white.  I did the same on the boots.  I also added Stickles Waterfall to the puddle.  Here are the other items used:

• Twine:  American Crafts
• Accents:  Gems (Dollarama), umbrella charm (stash)

1. What made you create a blog?  

I created my blog because I was invited to join the Glitter n Sparkle DT.  And I love entering challenges LOL.  

2. What scares you?  

Losing loved ones.  

3. Favourite type of crafting?  

Definitely making cards.

4. When's your favourite time to craft, day or night?  

Any time is my favourite time to craft LOL, but I probably craft more during the day.  

5. Name your favourite place you'd like to visit?  

I would like to visit Australia or New Zealand some day.  

6. What's your favourite TV show?  

I don't watch TV, but when I used to, my favourite shows were Seinfeld and the Big Bang Theory.

7. Where was your last holiday?  

I'm not much of a traveller, but I do enjoy short trips around our province, so my last holiday was around Nova Scotia.  

8. Do you like Valentine's Day?

I love Valentine's Day - I think it's romantic and fun!

9. How many and which countries have you lived in?

One - Canada.  

10. Do you collect anything?

 I have a lovely collection of cat-themed items, many of which I received as gifts.  I used to collect fitness DVDs - that was when Fit Kitty was a bit more fit LOL. But now the only thing I collect is crafting supplies.

Pink, pink, pink!

Glitter n Sparkle DT - Sketch

Hello, everybody.  It's Sunday, so that means there's a new challenge starting today over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog. This week we have a Sketch for you (see below). Deedee's Digis DT - Pocket Pal Kitten

Hello, everyone.  Today I made a card with one of the adorable images at Deedee's Digis.  You all know I love cats and I picked a sweet one today. 

This adorable kitten is from the Pocket Pal Kitten set shown below.  I coloured the kitten with my Prismacolor pencils and fussy-cut so I could pop it up with foam tape.  I paper-pieced the pocket with some patterned paper from Paperbilities and added a punched heart using my Fiskars punch.  The sentiment is a clear stamp from Technique Tuesday.  I embellished with several black gems.
