Blossom Bliss Colouring Page

Hi, everyone! Today I'm sharing a card I made with a free Blossom Bliss colouring page from STAMPlorations (thank you, Shery!).   You can see the first card I made with this colouring page here.

STAMPlorations is celebrating National Colouring Book Day (August 2), with a new colouring book, free colouring page, and blog hop! I'm not a colouring expert but I had fun with my markers!  In between the flowers I sponged on Distress Ink (I think it was Squeezed Lemonade) and added some dots with a black marker.

Hello, everyone! Before I share my card, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Carla Aerts - thank you for joining me!

Today I'm sharing a card I made with a free Blossom Bliss colouring page from STAMPlorations (thank you, Shery!). STAMPlorations is celebrating National Colouring Book Day (August 2), with a new colouring book, free colouring page, and blog hop!  I'm no colouring expert but I had fun with my markers!  In between the flowers I sponged on Distress Ink (I think it was Squeezed Lemonade) and added some dots with a black marker.  I also added white dots on some of the flower centers.

I recently won the June Apple Blossom Collection magazine kit from Liz at Buttons for Brains (thank you, Liz!), and I thought it went well with the floral panel I coloured. I used several products from the kit (see list below).

Oldie but Goodie

I almost forgot!  Patti at stationery Styles asked us to share a funny card to give her a laugh and lift her spirits.  Apparently I don't make many humorous cards because this was a hard one for me!  Patti went back in the archives for the sample card she shared, so I did the same and came up with this gem.

This is a card I made way back in 2011, a couple years before I started my blog.  The sentiment reads "A fluffy little gift from kitty." Anyone with a cat will know what a fluffy little gift is, hehehe!  Hope you get a chuckle, Patti!  Please excuse the quality of  the photo!

Coffee Cup Shaped Card

Hi, everyone!  I made a shaped card!  I won this cute Coffee Cup Shaped Card template from Gail at I Like Paper (thank you!) during a recent blog hop for The Cutting Cafe and decided to give it a try.

I've never used an SVG or shape template file before so I wasn't sure what to expect.  I don't have an electronic cutting machine, but this template came with PDFs so I printed and fussy-cut.  It turned out different than it was supposed to, but I like it!

I was inspired to add the tiny tag and twine by Gail's card here.  I went with this colour combo for more of a masculine vibe, although I think it would work well for either gender.  This is a top-folding card that is slightly smaller than A2 size.

Surfing Duck Beach Scene

Hello, everyone!  I'm back again today with a card to share!  I love to make scene cards with my dies and realized I haven't made one for months. A card like this takes a fair bit of time with all the die-cutting and layering, but I am so happy when it all comes together at the end!  It's a great way to use up those cardstock scraps too!

Digital stamp:  Gerda Steiner Designs Surfing Duck (this was a freebie at one point, thank you, Gerda!)
Dies:  Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes (I used all 3 landscape dies), Cheery Lynn Surf's Up (surf board and palm tree), Lawn Fawn Spring Showers (sun), Paper Smooches Clouds, WPlus9 Wave Border, unknown crab
Other:  Glossy Accents added to duck's sunglasses, Darice 3mm googly eyes on crab

Wake up and Smell the Coffee Tag

Hi, everybody!  Today I'm sharing a coffee-themed tag!

Digital images:  STAMPlorations Latte for Two (this was a freebie at one point; thank you, Shery!), Create with TLC coffee word art (freebie, thank you, Paulette!)

Dies:  Poppystamps Tucked Corner Tags, Joy Craft Sun and Moon

Patterned paper:  Carson Dellosa

Other:  Twine (came with Newton's Nook order)

I changed the colour of the coffee word art in Microsoft Word and printed on pink cardstock. If you would like to see how to change the colour of a digital image, here's a video tutorial.

The original coffee cup digital image contains a pair of cups but I wanted just one cup, so I did some fussy-cutting and paper-piecing.

Sending a Summer Hello

Hello, everyone!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome two new followers - kReN K and alka - thank you for joining me!  Today I'm sharing a summer card that I made with my dies!

The sentiment was created in Microsoft Word and then I adhered the Summer word, which I die-cut from yellow and black so I could layer it in an offset way.  I made the background with Distress Oxides using the watercolour ink smooshing technique. To embellish, I added a number of yellow sequins.  I think this is a happy, cheerful card!

I was inspired by sketch 464 at Tuesday Morning Sketches:



For this card, I decorated the inside using a scrap of my Distress Oxide background along with the same die-cut ice cream cone I used on the front:
