Luke 2:15-18 describes the shepherds' response to the angels' announcement of Jesus' birth. After the angels departed, the shepherds decided to go to Bethlehem to see what the Lord had revealed to them. They acted immediately upon hearing the news. They quickly went and found Mary, Joseph, and the baby in a manger, just as the angel had said. The manger served as the sign confirming the divine message. After seeing Jesus, they told everyone what they had been told about the child. Those who heard the shepherds' story were amazed by what they were told.
