Gingerbread Mug Set

Good morning, everyone!  Today I'm sharing two cards featuring a brand new digital set from Pattie's Creations called Gingerbread Mug Set.  There are two images in the set:  a mug with a boy gingerbread and one with a girl gingerbread, and they are both so cute!  You all know how I adore gingerbreads!

Here's the girl Gingerbread Mug first:

I coloured the image with markers and added lots of details with a white paint pen.  I fussy-cut and adhered the image to a white panel, die-cut with Lawn Fawn Stitched Landscape Border, along with another layer of red glitter cardstock peeking out, cut with the same die.  I fussy-cut and adhered a heart-shaped tag (LOTV Digi Shop) and a baker's twine bow.  The peppermint candy paper is from Imagine That Digistamp (no longer operating), and I finished the card by adding a white-heat-embossed sentiment from Taylored Expressions.

Now here's the boy Gingerbread Mug:

Again, I coloured the image with markers, added some details with a white paint pen, and fussy-cut.  The die-cut scalloped music paper (Lawn Fawn Snow Day) was a leftover I found in my scrap box, as was the sparkly red Ric Rac Border (Your Next Stamp).  The gingerbread-patterned paper is from Phantasia, and I stamped the Cocoa Time sentiment (Nicole Silhouette) on a red scrap and fussy-cut.  I finished the card by stamping the Yum sentiment (Hero Arts) on the music paper and adhering three snowflakes punched from a green scrap.

I noticed that Pattie's Creations is having a sale, so please head over to her shop and enjoy the 30% off coupon below.  She has a lot of cute images!   Pattie also has a Monthly Challenge with prizes of her digis, and she generously provides a freebie image each month, so you won't want to miss out!

Thanks a Latte

Hello, everybody!  Today I'm sharing a thank-you card.  I like to have a few on hand after the holidays as they always come in handy.   I've been checking out some of the cute inspiration at the 2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and was inspired to CASE Becca Yahrling's card!  She used Sizzix Thanks a Latte Empresslit (it embosses and cuts), and I've owned this product for a several years but have never used it.  After seeing her card, I decided to try it!

I noticed that Becca used a different die for the coffee-to-go cup, but I used the die that came with this set.  It's a one-piece die that forms part of the embossing folder, and it only cuts the outline of the cup, which is a bit disappointing. I had to die-cut it several times in the various colours (white, kraft, red, cream) and then fussy-cut into the pieces to make it work.  I also embossed the red cup in a snowflake pattern (Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow) because I noticed that Becca embossed her cup.  The "thanks a latte" die is part of this Sizzix set and I like it a latte!

I don't often CASE a card this closely but it was fun, and I like how it turned out!  Of course I had to add a kitty (Becca's card had a mouse)!  This kitty is from Simon Says Stamp Right Meow, which I coloured with markers and added dots with a white paint pen, and then fussy-cut so I could pop it up on foam tape.  Just like Becca, I added Diamond Stickles to the steam but instead of the gems for embellishments, I went with punched snowflakes in red.  I was unable to include a photo of her card from Flickr, but you can click here and take a look.

Brian's Coffee Page for Snowie's Memory Album

Hi, everyone!  Hubby Brian has been crafting again!  If you've been following me for awhile, then you may remember that he had a stroke four years ago, in 2018.  He has always been creative and recently made some cards for the Cat Lovers Hop.  There were so many encouraging comments at the time that he decided to make a page for Snowie's memory album for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  I am so proud of him!

The story behind the page is that having a cup of coffee was something he and Snowie shared each day.  Not the coffee, but the milk.  Each day when Brian made his instant coffee and added the milk, Snowie would jump onto the counter and wait for him to give her a small taste of the milk.  This was a daily ritural they both enjoyed.

Inspired by the photo of Snowie, Brian had a plan for his page and requested the following images:  a cat beside a cup, a milk container, and a jar of coffee.  He chose the sentiment as well.  He coloured all of the images himself with Prismacolor pencils and even added some extra artwork that was not on the original images.  For instance, the jar image was an empty jar, and he drew and coloured the coffee beans and printed his favourite coffee brand on the label.  For the milk container, in addition to colouring it, he added the word milk, the nutritional information on the side, and date codes along the top.  For the coffee cup, you will notice that he coloured it to look like the cup on the countertop, even doodling the orange cat on the handle, so creative!  I fussy-cut the images for him after he was finished.

Brian choose the patterned paper himself after I presented him with a number of choices, and he decided on the placement of each image.

The memory album for our beloved cat Snowie (may she RIP) was started by me a few years ago, but I haven't finished it yet.  Now I'm one page closer, thanks to Brian, and I think he did an awesome job!

Stamps:  Cat and sentiment (Your Next Stamp Coffee Break), tiny cat on front of cup (Adeline Atelier)
Digital images:  Milk container (Stampers Delights Kawaii Meow), empty jar (Diane's Daydream Design)

Making Spirits Bright

Hi, everyone!  Today I'm sharing another coffee-themed card!  I've been so inspired by all of the cards I'm seeing around blogland for the 2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  It ends today (Friday) so if you're going to join the fun, you had better hurry!

The coffee-to-go cup is a gift card holder from Dollarama and of course I had to add a kitty to make it cute!  The image is Eureka Stamps Christmas Cat from Stamp On It.  I coloured him with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop him up on foam tape.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions, and I white-heat-embossed it on black cardstock and cut with the coordinating die.  The white panel is embossed with Simon Says Stamp Filigree Snowflakes embossing folder, and I finished the card by adhering three punched red snowflakes.

I was inspired by the following 8 challenges:

Meowy and Bright

Hello, everybody!  Today I'm sharing another card I made with inspiration from Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards.  You will see the photo and link to Beccy's challenge on my right-hand sidebar all month so I hope you'll join the fun!  It's an alphabet challenge so I went with N for non-traditional colours.

Again I've used a kitty from one of Beccy's newer digitals called Christmas Kitties.  This is my favorite kitty in the set as she reminds me of our Snowie.  I coloured her with markers to look like Snowie, and the ornament pink to match, and then fussy-cut.  My inky background was originally destined for another card but it didn't work out; it was in my "waiting to be used" box, made a long time ago with either Distress Inks or Distress Oxides, mostly likely with the ink-smooshing technique.

My card design was inspired by Sweet Sketch Wednesday November Sketch 241 and I rotated it 2x clockwise.  I don't make square cards so I hope my A2 card is okay.

I die-cut the stitched oval (My Creative Time) from a white panel and then die-cut again with a stitched rectangle (Gina Marie Designs).  The pink die-cut corners (LaLa Land Crafts) were left over from a project from a long time ago, so I found a scrap of the same pink cardstock to die-cut the bow (Poppystamps):

I added pink gems to the corner elements according to the sketch, as well as a larger pink gem to the center of the bow.  To finish the card, I stamped a small sentiment (Simon Says Stamp) next to the cat.

I was also inspired by the following 8 challenges, for a total of 10:
Crafter's Cafe 291 Use Dies and/or Punches 1/5 C10
Pattie's Creations 200 AG 2/3

Hot Chocolate and Gingerbread

Hello, everyone!  I'm back again to share another card!  This one features stamps and a stencil from Newton's Nook.

I began with the background by sponging Vintage Photo Distress Ink through Newton's Nook Mug Stencil onto kraft cardstock.  I adhered cream vellum to the stencilled panel per the sketch below.  The cup image is from Newton's Nook Cup of Cocoa but the gingerbread stamp (Newton's Nook Ginger Snap) is sadly retired.  I coloured the images with markers and fussy-cut, adhering them to the doily.  The sentiment is from the Cup of Cocoa set, which I heat-embossed in white on a brown scrap.

My card design was inspired by the sketch at Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge 168

Jingle All the Way

Hi, everybody!  Today I'm sharing a sparkly holiday card featuring JessicaLynnOriginal's Jingle All the Way Coffee Lovers Hop freebie (thank you, he's so cute!).  I coloured him with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop him up on foam tape.  I added Diamond Stickles to his marshmallows to add even more sparkle!

This die-cut is InLoveArts Shop - Multiple Rhombus.  It was a bit fiddly but I love how it turned out!  I won a gift certificate to this shop from Janie - The Craft Princess and this was one of the items I chose (thank you, Janie!)  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions, and I heat embossed it in white on black cardstock.

Sweet Wishes Snowman Soup

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing another card for the 2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Time is ticking and I still want to make some more cards before Friday so I had better get cracking!  There is so much caffeinated inspiration over there that I can't help but be inspired!

This image is Sweet n Sassy Stamps - Snowman Soup and I coloured him with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop him up on foam tape. I also added Diamond Stickles to his marshmallows.

I created the background by applying sparkly embossing paste on white cardstock through a snowflake stencil (Hot off the Press Snowfall).  After it dried, I die-cut the white panel with a wonky stitched rectangle (Avery Elle) and then layered it on red cardstock.  Behind the snowman I added three different washi tapes.  I stamped a sentiment (SugarPea Designs) in red and finished the card by adhering three punched red snowflakes.

Meow, Baby

Hello, everyone!  This month I've been joining the fun challenge over at Beccy's Place for her annual Month of Holiday Cards.  This is the 10th year so it's extra special!  The festivities are going on all month so I hope you'll head over and check it out!  The graphic and link are on my right-hand sidebar. It's an alphabet challenge, and I've chosen the letter H for humorous.

For today's card I've used a kitty from one of Beccy's newer digitals called Christmas Kitties. I coloured the image with markers, fussy-cut, and adhered to a snowflake-embossed stitched circle.  I think everyone knows a person like this kitty, and they are usually making the rounds at the staff Christmas party after a few drinks LOL!

The "Meow Baby" sentiment is from the same Beccy's set, and it has been die-cut in a speech-bubble shape, onto which I doodled some dots around the circle.  The sentiment at the bottom, which is a bit hard to read on the patterned paper, says, "What happens under the mistletoe stays under the mistletoe," and is from Beccy's set called Finn and MollyI used some patterned papers that I won in the September {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge (thank you, Crystal!), along with a scrap of green glitter cardstock.  To finish the card, I punched three small snowflakes in red for a pop of colour.

My card design was inspired by Sketch 28 at {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge, and I rotated it 2x clockwise.  (The link-up is in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook Group.)

Holly Jolly Coffee

For my Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge Guest Designer cards, please see here and here.

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing a fun holiday card for a coffee lover who also loves cats!  The sweater kitty (Christmas Kitties) and coffee go-cup (First Day Jitters, retired) are both from Beccy's Place.  I coloured the kitty with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop him up on foam tape.  I also adhered three tiny punched hearts to his sweater.

For the coffee go-cup, I paper-pieced it with holly-patterned paper and green cardstock and then fussy-cut.  I embossed the coffee sleeve with Simon Says Stamp Holiday Greenery and sponged some Pine Needles Distress Ink over the rasied parts.  The go-cup was then adhered to green snowflake-embossed cardstock (Die'sire Embossalicious Let it Snow).  I stamped a Holly Jolly sentiment (SugarPea Designs) on the lid and adhered a holly leaf embellishment and three red sequins.  I also decided to add a second greeting (Beccy's Place Bear Hugs) on a red scrap because I think this kitty looks like he needs a hug!

Guest Designer - Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge - Mid-month Reminder

Hello, everybody!  You might remember that I am guest designing at Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge this month!  Woot, woot!

Just a reminder that our theme is Holly, and there is a wonderful prize up for grabs!  One random winner will receive a $25 gift code to Topflight Stamps!

Head over to Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge and play along!  Just link up a newly created Christmas card with at least one holly image.  Your card can be Coffee, Tea, or Hot Cocoa!  The challenge runs until November 25, so you still have time to join in!

My holly-themed card was made using an adorable digital image from Last Minute Manda called Christmas Ginger Teacup.  I coloured the image with markers and added some details with a white paint pen. I fussy-cut the image so I could pop it up on foam tape, and you will notice the holly decoration along the teacup.  I created the background by applying sparkly embossing paste on kraft cardstock through a snowflake stencil (Hot off the Press Snowfall).  I adhered a Holly Leaf Border die-cut (Memory Box) in sparkly green cardstock and stamped a Holly Jolly sentiment (SugarPea Designs) vertically at the bottom right.

Thank you to Amy and Lisa at Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge for inviting me to be your Guest Designer!  I had fun!
