Luke 10-14 the angelic announcement of Jesus Christ's birth to shepherds outside Bethlehem. This passage describes an angel appearing to shepherds to announce the birth of a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord. The angel provided a sign that the shepherds would find the baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. A heavenly host* also appeared, praising God and proclaiming "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." The shepherds then decided to go to Bethlehem to see the child. The passage emphasizes that God's salvation is for everyone and that Jesus' birth brings hope, joy, and peace.
*The Heavenly Host is the mighty army of God, primarily composed of angels serving as His divine forces, as protectors, warriors, and worshippers, often appearing in great numbers to announce momentous events like Christ's birth, symbolizing God's power over all creation, including celestial bodies.
