Winter Penguin Shaker

Hello, everyone! I'm still in the festive mood! Today I made a card featuring an adorable image from By Miss Rach called Winter Penguin. Isn't he the sweetest?! I recently won a whole bunch of "Christmas in July" images from By Miss Rach and I couldn't wait to colour this cutie  - thank you, Miss Rach!

I coloured him with Prismacolor pencils and added Snow Writer to his hat and Glossy Accents to his eyes. You all know I love to make shaker cards so I made another one!  This time I used glitter in my shaker along with sequins, but I probably won't do it again.  All the glitter fell to the bottom and I wasn't crazy about how it looked, so I hid it with a ribbon bow. You can still see the glitter when you shake the card though.  This card has a lot of sparkle as the added snowflakes are die-cut from white glitter cardstock.

Kitty Gift Stack

Hi, everyone!  Before I share my card, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Wombat - thank you for joining me!

Today I'm sharing a Christmas shaker card! The kitty stamp is from The Cat's Pajamas called The New Nice. I coloured it with watercolour markers, added some highlights with a white gel pen, fussy-cut, and added googly eyes.

Do you see the cute little circle kitty?  I made it, and it was easy!  I used a 1" circle punch to cut the image and placed an epoxy circle sticker over it!  I bought a digital collage sheet of cute kitty circle images from an Etsy seller called The Digital Chick so I'll be making lots more of these epoxy circle kitties for my cards!

Shark Tag

Hello, everyone!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome my newest follower - TraceyM #6773 - thank you for joining me!  Today I'm sharing a shark tag to match the shark card I made the other day.  To my regular followers, please know that my usual cute cards will be returning right away, so don't worry!

This shark image is from JessicaLynnOriginal called Shark Week. I coloured it with Prismacolor pencils and fussy-cut so I could pop it up with foam tape. Just as with my shark card, I created an underwater background with watercolour markers (Light Blue, Cobalt Blue, Turquoise Green, Persian Green, Blue, Persian Blue, and Peacock Blue). I added some solid stamping from Newton's Nook Shark Bites and a number of sequins from my stash.

The tag shapes were die-cut with My Creative Time Tag Dies and Tag Die Layers. The sentiment from Newton's Nook is heat-embossed in white. I added some black ribbon and multi-coloured eyelash ribbon to finish off the tag. I think the card and tag make a cute set!

Flamingos with Ombre Paint Swoosh

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm sharing another ombre card for the Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge!  I've been seeing so many flamingo cards in blogland and then I remembered my Newton's Nook Flirty Flamingos stamps! This was my very first Newton's Nook stamp set, which I won about 2 years ago!  I coloured the flamingos with watercolour markers (Pink, Light Carmine, and Light Pink) and fussy-cut so I could pop them up with foam tape.

For the background I stamped a Gina Marie Designs Paint Swoosh in three shades of blue (Memento Summer Sky, Bahama Blue, and Danube Blue).  The anniversary sentiment is from Hero Arts Everyday Sentiments,which I stamped in Memento Nautical Blue to continue the ombre theme. The panel is die-cut with Avery Elle Wonky Stitches and mounted on a piece of fun foam for some dimension. I finished off the card with some coordinating sequins from my stash.

Meow, it's time to party!

Hello, everyone!  I'm back again today with another card! I just realized that STAMPlorations 3rd birthday party link-up ends tonight so I had to scramble!

There is a big celebration and blog hop going on over at STAMPlorations so you will want to hurry before it's too late!

The image here is A Little Something from From the Heart Stamps, which I coloured with Prismacolor pencils and die-cut with a Gina Marie scalloped stitched circle.  The sentiment says, "Meow, it's time to party," and is from the same set. The die-cut image is mounted on patterned vellum, which in turn is mounted on patterned paper die-cut from Waltzingmouse Stamps scalloped stitched rectangles and then mounted on black cardstock. I added some party confetti and a giant birthday cake sticker from my stash. I followed sketch #158 at i {heart} sketches:

Shark Shaker Card

Hello, everybody! Before I share my card, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Deb Bradley - thank you for joining me!

Today I have a fun shark card to share with you! I've been inspired by the Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge! The theme is Ombre!  I created an underwater scene with watercolour markers. This is the first time I've inked up my Newton's Nook Shark Bites stamps and I have to admit they are so much fun that I decided to make it a shaker card!  The sharks are coloured with watercolour markers as well. The stitched scalloped frame is from Gina Marie Designs, and I made my own shaker mix using sequins from my stash.
