Glitter n Sparkle Challenge - Monochrome

Hello, friends.  It's Sunday and that means it's time for another challenge over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog.  This week's theme is Monochrome, so that's shades of one colour, but hair and skin tones can be the usual colours.  Here's my card:

I was a little fussier with this card than I normally am, but I had a lot of fun with it, and I plan to give it to someone special.  I love the sweet image I got to play with.  It's called Hannah Belle with Kitten from Fresh Brewed Designs and you can find it here.  Any time I receive a cat image for my DT card, I am happy LOL. 

I coloured the image with pencils, sponged the edges with pink ink, and die cut into a label.  I did a lot of layering on this card.  I started with a white card base, added a layer of pink, then another layer of white, and then a layer of pink DP, which I embossed with dots, but it's hard to see in this photo.  I added a strip of wide lace and then some pink polka-dot ribbon, onto which I affixed the image with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment on a white die-cut circle and mounted on a pink circle, onto which I stapled pink polka-dot ribbon, and then I affixed it to the card with foam tape.  I added lots of embellishments on this card:  several flowers, die-cut leaves, a heart banner, pearls, and punched butterflies.  Here are the supplies used:

• Ink:  Ancient Page Primrose (for sentiment), Brilliance Pearlescent Coral (for sponging)

• Punch:  Butterfly (EK Success)
• Embossing folder: Cuddlebug Swiss Dots (embossed DP but it's hard to notice)
• Cardstock:  Recollections
• DP:  Marcella by K and Dollarama
• Accents:  Flowers, pearls, brads, spooled items (Dollarama and thrift store)
