Gertie Goose

Hello, friends.  Today's card is for a progressive challenge at Imagine That... digis by Kris  Anyone who played along last month received this cute Gertie Goose image to use for this month's challenge.  I just recently discovered a couple progressive challenges and now I'm hooked.  It's great because as long as you participate, you receive next month's image for free.  I'm getting my progressive challenges done early this month - I waited too long in September and missed some fun ones.  Lesson learned!

I love washi tape!  I know, I'm sort of late to the party, but I won a bunch in a challenge and now I'm hooked.  So I started my card by covering a white card base with golden cardstock and added several strips of washi tape.  I used the pre-coloured version of Gertie Goose - I didn't think I could colour her any better myself than she already looks - she's adorable - so I fussy-cut and attached Gertie with foam tape.  The sentiment is a freebie from Create with TLC, which I sponged with black ink to give it some texture.  Lastly I added four gold leaves, three at the top right, one bottom left.  Here are the supplies used:

• Digi sentiment:  Create with TLC (thank you, Paulette)
• Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black (for sponging)
• Cardstock:  Recollections, Staples
• Washi tape: Downtown Tape, Elmer's, Loblaws
• Embellishments:  Gold leaves (a gift, unsure of source)
