Playful Kitty - You're Purr-fect

Hello, everyone.  I started making this card for the monochrome challenge over at A Day for Daisies, but I soon realized I was a day late - and a dollar short LOL.  As a happy coincidence, my monochrome card also fit the current challenge of buttons and bows (used one of each).  I really wanted to play along at A Day for Daisies because I recently won some of Tammy's images and I couldn't wait to make a card.  She was such a pleasure to deal with - and I love the images I won - thank you, Tammy.  This one is called Playful Kitty and you can find it here.  I coloured the kitty with pencils and mounted on purple cardstock.  If you want to play along in the challenge and don't have an image from A Day for Daisies, Tammy offers some wonderful freebies here, and there's even a freebie kitty!

I started my card by covering a white base with purple cardstock, onto which I layered this beautiful digi paper from Trimgym's Digistamps, Paper and Images.  It's part of a paper pack called Scottish Castle which you can find here.  Jo's papers aren't for sale, but what's wonderful about Trimgym's monthly challenge is that you can request a freebie to play along. What could be better than that?  This was the paper I requested, and I love it - thank you, Jo.  So back to my card... Next I affixed the image with foam tape and added a die-cut flourish and a punched flower accented with a purple button and twine bow.  Lastly I stamped the sentiment in purple on the patterned paper .  Here are the supplies used:
  • Digi stamp and digi papers:  Described above
  • Stamp:  Sentiment (Studio G)
  • Coloured pencils:  Prismacolor
  • Ink: Brilliance Pearlescent Purple
  • Cardstock:  Recollections
  • Die:  Spellbinders Fantastic Flourish Three
  • Flower punches:  EK Success
  • Button, twine:  Dollar store
