The Birth of Christ - Day 12 Scripture Writing

Hello, everyone. Today I present my scripture-writing journal page for December 12. These verses continue on from yesterday's page (Day 11).

Luke 1:56-61 recounts Mary's departure from Elisabeth and the events surrounding the birth and naming of John the Baptist. The passage emphasizes God's faithfulness and mercy, as well as the unique divine plan for John's life as the forerunner to Jesus.

The Birth of Christ - Day 11 Scripture Writing

Hello, everyone. Today I am sharing my scripture-writing journal page for December 11. These verses continue on from yesterday's page (Day 10).

Luke 1:51-55 is a passage from Mary's "Magnificat" (Luke 1:46-55), a hymn of praise she offers after being greeted by her cousin Elisabeth. This section of the song emphasizes a theme of divine reversal and God's justice, showing that God's power in salvation history often overturns the world's social and power structures.

The Birth of Christ - Day 9 Scripture Writing

Hello, everyone. Today I am sharing my scripture-writing journal page for December 9. These verses continue on from yesterday's page (Days 7 and 8).

Luke 1:39-45 describes Mary's visit to her relative Elisabeth in the hill country of Judea. At Mary's greeting, Elizabeth's unborn son leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, declared that Mary was "blessed among women" and blessed was the child she would bear. She then blessed Mary for believing the Lord's promises.

The Birth of Christ - Day 7 and 8 Scripture Writing

Hello, everyone. Today I am sharing scriptures for December 7 and 8 from my scripture-writing journal. They continue directly on from yesterday's page (Day 6).

Day 7 - Luke 1:34-37 describes Mary's question to the angel Gabriel about how she, a virgin, could conceive, and the angel's explanation that the Holy Spirit would come upon her, making her holy Son called the Son of God, also noting that her relative Elizabeth was six months pregnant, proving that "nothing will be impossible with God".

Day 8 - Luke 1:38 is the verse where Mary responds to the angel Gabriel's announcement that she will conceive Jesus through the Holy Spirit, saying, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word,” signifying her submission and willingness to accept God's plan, and the angel then departs from her.

The Birth of Christ - Day 5 Scripture Writing

Hi, everybody.  Today I am sharing my December 5 page in my scripture-writing journal about the Birth of Christ.

Psalm 72:11 is a royal prophecy in the Bible, stating, "May all kings bow down to him, and all nations serve him," which Christian tradition interprets as pointing to the Messiah (Jesus Christ) who will receive universal worship and establish a just, eternal kingdom, fulfilling God's promise of an everlasting throne, far beyond King Solomon's reign.
