Hi Kitty, I found out that if you use acrylic paint and cover the whole thing, that acts as a sealant. Spray Polyurethane was the recommended sealant-just make sure they're dry on the sprayed side when you flip them over!
This is so sweet! What a darling ornament, and such a fun idea for a holiday project. I'm definitely going to have to make some of these with my girls.
