Fawn Birthday

Hello, everyone! Today I'm sharing a fall birthday card. I love this cute little fawn! This little cutie is actually a layering stamp so I didn't do any colouring. I have a tip for using layering stamps:  make ink swatches before stamping! It will save a lot of time (learned the hard way!).

I started out making this card as a masculine one, but now I don't know. What do you think?  It does seem a bit more masculine than feminine but I would appreciate your thoughts.

Here are the products used:
  • Rubber/clear stamps:  Paperbabe Reindeer Fusions, Clearly Besotted ("make a wish" sentiment), Whimsy Stamps (vertical sentiment)
  • Ink:  Memento - Rich Cocoa, Toffee Crunch, Desert Sand
  • Patterned paper:  Doodlebug Friendly Forest
  • Other:  Washi tape and sequins from my stash

I would like to support the following challenges: 613 Avenue Create AG Optional Colours of Fall 6/8; Artistic Inspirations AG UE; Aud Sentiments Fall Colours Plus Sentiment 2/5; Cards in Envy Good-bye Summer Hello Fall 1/3; Craft Your Passion AG 1/3; Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper September UE; Creative Fingers AG 3/3; Creative Inspirations AG Option Sketch UE; Creative Moments AG Optional Fall Colours 3/3; Crop Stop Linky Party #20 (Memento Inks available at Crop Stop here) 2/5; DL.ART September Linky AG UE 1/d;Fab n Funky Inspired by Nature UE; Fresh Brewed Designs Animals 5/5; Glitter n Sparkle AG 2/3; Hiding in My Craftroom Designer Paper x 3 2/3; Inspiration Destination AG UE; Just Keep On Creating AG UE;Kitty Bee Aloha Friday Scraps Minimum of 3 Patterned Paper Scraps 2/2; Let's Craft and Create Spots or Stripes (I have both) 2/3; Lil Patch of Crafty Friends AG 3/3; Love to Scrap AG 1/5; Not Just Cards September AG UE; Pile it On Autumn Colours/Theme UE; Repeat Impressions DCC914 ~ Happy Birthday UE; Robyn's Fetish Anything for Fall 2/3; Scribbles Designs Woodland Creatures 2/3; Send a Smile 4 Kids Fall Colours 4 Kids 2/3; The Cat's Pajamas Patterns; The Paper Girls Nature 1/3; Word Art Wednesday AG w Uplifting Sentiment 5/5 wk1

It is a sweet little Fawn Kitty and I think the colours lend themselves to a masculine card very well.

Hello Kitty! What a beautiful little fawn! I really like the Memento color choices you have picked it out for this little sweet fawn. It looks so real! I really like layering stamps. They're so fun to work with and mass produce the card quickly. Now I think this can work as a masculine card even with some of the purple-ish polka dots on there. I don't think to many little boys mind. :) May you have a lovely week Kitty. Hugs.

Adorable fall card and I love the little fawn. Thanks for the stamping tip! I think it works well for man or lady. Either one would love it! Thanks for sharing with us at Cards in Envy.

I think because it is a baby deer that makes it seem more feminine. You could go either way though. Guy cards don't need to be all gears, wheels and grease.

Hi Kitty! In my opinion it's both masculine or feminine. In Italy we says "Unisex" :D
Love this cute fawn, it's so so sweet!! And the back paper looks really amazing! This clean design is just perfect to make the fawn pop and you made a fab work as always with the washi tapes and the sentiments!
Hugs!!

Very cute and how fun is that layering?! Love the fun papers you used, too. I definitely think it could go either masculine or feminine. Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built and LTSCB.

I think this card would work for either gender. Love the idea of using just one layer as you've done with the image too. Your combination of the different paper patterns adds so much interest & color, and love the strips of washi placed with a slanted edge! Good for you at using some of the washi stash. Darling card. TFS & Hugs

This is so darling Kitty! I think the sequins make it a bit more feminine. I usually ask my DH he is pretty good at helping me decide these kinds of things but no matter who you gave it to I'm sure they would LOVE it!!

I think your card is rather age and gender neutral, I'd say it depends on the person who'll receive it. It's cute, decorative but not over the top embellished.
