Vintage Cat Mail

This is my attempt at vintage.  No digis used today!  I even stamped the background.  I hope it looks vintage - that was my intent.

For the image, I stamped this cute mailbox kitty (Inkadinkado) in black (VersaFine Onyx Black) and coloured it with pencils (Prismacolor).  Then I used my corner rounder (Creative Memories), sponged the edges with pink (Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid), stamped the sentiment (dollar store), and mounted on black cardstock (Recollections), again rounding the corners.

For the background, I stamped the following stamps repeatedly:  postmark and postcard (Plaid), postage stamp cat (Magenta), first class and air mail (dollar store) and then sponged with black.  I mounted the image with foam tape, attached flower with rhinestone brad, and added two strips of DP (scraps from my stash).  I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Candy C said... did a great job in creating a card with a vintage feeling. I love the random stamping of the postage stamps and cancellations and the words "POST CARD" that you've done. The two strips of patterned brown paper running across the card are nice accents. Your stamped and colored image of the kitty in the mailbox is adorable. Thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
