I made this Christmas card today after being inspired by several challenges (see below). 

I stamped the image in black on a white square, coloured with pencils, and mounted on a decorative red square.  I embossed a white panel with snowflakes, attached a strip of "Let it Snow" ribbon, and affixed to a white card base.  I affixed the mounted image to the card with foam tape and embellished with metallic holly leaves and clear gemstones.  Here are the supplies I used:

Thinking of You Kitty

My Candy is here.  I'm a new blogger hoping for 50 followers.

I made this Thinking of You card today after being inspired by several challenges (see below), and I wanted to use my rubber stamps (no digis). 

I covered a white card base with nectarine cardstock, stamped the sentiment in black, and affixed two torn squares:  one a torn dictionary page; the other a nectarine panel onto which I stamped French script and inked the edges.  I stamped the kitty in black on striped DP, die cut into an oval, and layered on a decorative white oval.   I added a strip of black cardstock and then affixed the kitty oval with foam tape.  Lastly, I embellished with three flowers, attached with gem-filled brads, and added six black gems.  Here are the supplies I used:

Heartfelt Sympathy

My Candy is here.  I'm a new blogger trying for 50 followers.

Here's a sympathy card I made today.  I was inspired by several challenges (see below), and I was in the mood for stamping (no digis). 

I stamped the flower on a torn dictionary page, using watercolour markers instead of ink, and mounted it on torn black cardstock.  For the base of the card, I embossed green cardstock with text on the right-hand side and stamped a floral border in black on the left.  I affixed the image to the card with foam tape and added white ribbon and a sentiment that was stamped in black on a white scrap and inked the edges in black.  I embellished with green and white die-cut vines, black and green punched butterflies, a white bow, and black gems.  Here are the supplies I used:

Peace Dove

My Candy is here.  I'm a new blogger trying for 50 followers.

I've been recycling again!  I hate to waste those beautiful Christmas cards I receive so I save them to recycle/upcycle into new cards.  In this case, the dove was a tag on a gift I received last year.  I mounted it on white and black cardstock and affixed to a grey card with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment in black and embellished with clear gems.

Let It Snow

My Candy is here.  I'm a new blogger trying for 50 followers.

I'm still on a Christmas kick!  For this card, I embossed the snowman in silver, coloured with watercolour markers, circle punched, outlined the circle in silver, and added Stickles. I punched two other circles from blue cardstock, outlined them in silver, and affixed to a white card base, which I also outlined in silver.  I embossed the sentiment and snowflake in silver and affixed the snowman circle with foam tape.  Here are the supplies I used:

Hello Swimming Pool Boy

This card is for my young nephew, so I wanted to keep it pretty CAS with not a lot of embellishments since it's for a boy.  I love this cute image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps - he's in his little pool, but he wants to be at the beach!  I started by covering a white card base with DP.  I stamped the sentiment on a purple scrap and mounted at the top.  I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils, mounted on purple cardstock, and affixed to the card with foam tape.  Lastly I embellished with a shell charm tied with metallic thread.

Glitter n Sparkle Challenge - Clean and Simple

It's time for another challenge over at Glitter n Sparkle Challenge Blog, and this time the theme is Clean and Simple.  I love the cute image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps that I got to play with - she's called Beach Baby, and you can find her here.  She's just having fun at the beach!  I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and offset the square on to a slightly larger pink square, which I mounted with foam tape on a beach sand DP that covered a white card base.  I embellished with a pink shell charm tied with string and three pink gems.

I love making Christmas cards in non-traditional colours - and that's what I did today!  I was inspired by several challenges (see inspiration below). I embossed turquoise cardstock with snowflakes, added a yellow ribbon with bow, and mounted on black cardstock, which covered a white card base.  I printed the sentiment (which was a digi freebie from Trimgym Digistamps, Images and Papers - thank you, Jo), trimmed closely, and then affixed to the ribbon.  I stamped the kitty in black on a white scrap, coloured with pencils, added Stickles to his pompom, layered with pink cardstock, and mounted to the card with foam tape.  Lastly, I punched three snowflakes from pink and yellow cardstock and adhered to the card, adding a gem to the centre of each one.  Here are the supplies I used:

Here's a wedding card I made last week but haven't had a chance to blog about.  The image is a digi called Lily Swag from Sandi's Samples, which I coloured with pencils and fussy-cut.  The sentiment is from Fred She Said, which I printed on yellow cardstock, die-cut into an oval, doodled stitching around the edge, and mounted on a green oval.  I embossed white cardstock and layered it on green cardstock, which covered a white card base. I affixed the ovals to the white panel and added the coloured lillies, die-cut leaves, punched butterfly, and embellished with two pearls.  Here are the supplies used:

Well, I'm still making Xmas cards!  Today I was inspired by several challenges.  I stamped sheet music in brown on lilac cardstock and adhered it to cover a white card base.  I embossed green cardstock with snowflakes and mounted on the lilac.  I embossed a brown cardstock panel with swirls and mounted on the green.  I die-cut an eyelet circle from lilac cardstock and affixed it to the brown panel.  Next I stamped the skating hedgehog in black on watercolour paper, coloured with watercolour markers, mounted on brown, lilac, and green cardstock, and affixed to card with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment in brown on watercolour paper and affixed to the card with pop dots.  Lastly I embellished with a copper stocking charm, tied in a bow with lilac string.  Here are the supplies I used:

Penny-farthing Thank You

Here is a thank you card I made for a man who did some work for me.  I kept it clean and simple with no embellishments since it's for a guy.  I stamped the sentiment in brown twice on a torn strip of DP and affixed to brown cardstock which covered a white card base.  I stamped the penny-farthing in brown on a white square, mounted on brown and red cardstock, and affixed with foam tape to the card.  Here are the supplies I used:

• Stamps:  Penny-farthing (Michaels), sentiment (The Old Island Stamp Company)
• Ink:  Ancient Page - Chocolate (Clearsnap)
• Cardstock:  unknown from my stash
• White card base:  Domtar
• DP:  Dollarama

Happy Birthday Kitty in Basket

I was inspired to make this birthday card by the July colour challenge on the Official Magenta Blog.  I stamped the kitty in black on white cardstock, coloured with pencils, and mounted on a die-cut decorative square.  I layered patterned paper on to blue cardstock, which covered a white card base, and affixed the kitty panel with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment in black on the bottom right-hand corner and then embellished with a triple-layered flower, a butterfly charm tied with purple string, and three pink gems.  Here are the supplies I used:

• Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black
• Coloured Pencils:  Prismacolor
• Cardstock:  Recollections
