Hello, everyone! Today I'm joining my friend Fikreta in a blog hop for Purple Day in support of epilepsy awareness. Each participant in the hop has made a card featuring purple. I hope you'll hop around and see what everyone has made!
Here's the card I made for Purple Day:
The adorable image is Digi Doodles Studios - Gracie & Nibbles. I coloured it with markers and fussy-cut so I could pop it up on foam tape. The background paper is from Fred She Said, and I stamped a sentiment from Newton's Nook. I added a die-cut shape and some lace behind the image and then finished the card with two punched butterflies and some purple gems.
Please take a moment and read:
Purple Day
Purple Day is a global grassroots event formed with the intention to increase worldwide awareness of epilepsy, and to dispel common myths and fears of this neurological disorder. Further intentions of this movement are to reduce the social stigmas commonly endured by many individuals afflicted with the condition; to provide assurance and advocacy to those living with epilepsy that they are not alone in their ongoing endurance; and to initiate individuals living with the condition to take action in their communities to achieve these aims. The day occurs annually on March 26. You can read more about epilepsy here.

Hi, Kitty!
Thank you for participating in this important hop. Hasn't Fiki done a great job in getting it all organized!? Your card is so adorable with the sweet kitty hugging the purple heart! Beau iful coloring and I love the touch of lace. So sweet.
I'm so glad to be a part of this hop, also, and to be reminded of some important things abt someone having a seizure....like noting the time the seizure started. I prob would not remember to think of that!
Hope you are doing well during this virus thing. Stay safe and healthy.

That's a cute card for anyian to resist!! I learnt that we should not hold down the person during an attack nor should we put anything into the mouth. Thanks for spreading awareness.
Oh, I just want to pick up that little kitty and hug him! We can't have cats anymore because my husband and daughter are allergic but I really miss them. Thanks for sharing your card and participating in the hop. I learned a lot about epilepsy, especially not to hold someone down or put anything in their mouth when they are having a seizure.
So very glad you decided to use a lot of purple. Love this adorable card and your sweet kitty. Thanks so much for playing along at Time Out.

Your card is just so adorable and I love how you colored up the image. The lace and butterflies give this design a lovely look for springtime too. Thanks so much for participating in the hop and sharing your card. The epilepsy fact that stood out for me is not to put anything in the person's mouth when they are having a seizure, contrary to popular belief.
Purple is purr-fect for this card - and that beautiful pair. Wonderful colouring and a great set up for your card.
Pretty purple card. Love the kitty and the lace
I learned that There are six main types of generalized seizures-- all involve loss of consciousness and typically happen without warning.
This is a fabulous design, Kitty! I love that blended pp and how you've built your card from it! If only the people of the world could get along like your sweet kitty and mouse! I hope you are taking care and keeping safe! Hugs, Darnell
Absolutely gorgeous card, love the cute image.
